Search by Tags

This page lets you filter my database of all of the new fiction and audio drama podcasts by granular tags to a precise niche. This is very much a work in progress, with tagging of shows always improving. If you want to help, submit your show or update your tagging.

Because tagging is incomplete, you may wish to leave some options empty with initial searches, and then get more specific.

You can also search by Title.

Genre tags - these are additive, so if you pick "Horror" and "Comedy", you should only get horror comedies, rather than just horror. You don't need to select a value for all of them, and some shows don't have three tags, so feel free to start broad and get more narrow.

The Serpent Under My Skin
The Serpent Under My Skin is an exploration into an allegorical retelling of what it is like to be raised trans and conservative alt right. If you like the major motion picture The Green Knight and Arthurian legend, this might be for you. It's a hair-raising tale with small, quiet moments of gender exploration and theological discussion. The themes are religious trauma and heartbreak, the complicated relationships with our parents, and who gets to decide who lives and dies and what that means. A central theme runs through the story of brainwashing children to do our bidding instead of viewing them as complete and whole human beings. If you like stories of gender awakening, striking back against the people that have harmed you, pain and suffering and the catharsis that comes from becoming a more complete human being, even if it means leaving behind everyone and everything you've ever known, this story may be the one for you.It centers on Paladin, a lone child plucked from our world and raised in another to become a murderer of drifters, people that travel from other worlds. It follows their loss of faith and subsequent mental breakdown in a tender, raw performance that dips into both feminine and trans rage.

One pack of five garou are thrust into this war, aimed at the enemy with promises of glory ringing in their ears. This is the story of two brothers who are guest workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. One goes off on an adventure, meets a Saudi prince, and ends up dead. The other will stop at nothing to find out why his brother had to die. Accompanied by his wife, he begins a search across three continents for his brother’s killer. His hunt takes him into a trap where he, like his brother before him, becomes caught in the middle of the struggle between the pre-Al Qaeda fundamentalist Saudis and the more liberal ones who lean toward the West. His quest forces him to loose his innocence, and to face things about his country, his brother and his wife that he would prefer not to know.

Glitter Girl
One grown daughter is a flagrant San Francisco lesbian who has won and lost an international journalism award only to reinvent herself as a glitter spray salesgirl. The other daughter strayed away from her secular family and right through the sliding glass doors of a church housed in a nearby mini-mall. This family has a few issues to work out: meet the Sorens. Gloria Soren, the “glitter girl” in the novel, is picking up the pieces of her spectacularly failed career, falling in love, and wondering how she became an almost-pathological liar. The younger Soren sister, Angie, is spearheading an anti-abortion movement in Georgia and no longer talks to her family. She's waiting to marry her charismatic pastor, but their lives begin to change when Gloria visits her sister to make up.
