Letter X- O-r-a-n-g-u-h-t-t-a-n

Fri, 01 Aug 2025 16:00:00 GMT

Orangatan. O-r-a-n-g-u-h-t-t-a-nO-r-ang-uh-tanHard not to say when you hear (or read) it.

What word?

Orangutan (correctly spelled). The big orange monkey, instead of the copyrighted "el gran perro colorado."

As William says, this is a not-much-happened letter. Because, life isn't always so hectic as when the first Abbot fell on his face, or when Father Clam broke a bone (he's recovering fine).

Ah, the wonders of Abbey life!

Letter IX- Resting By the River

Fri, 25 Jul 2025 16:00:00 GMT

Mail's here!

In this episode of the Abbey of Bitter Tea River, William relaxes riverside under the shade of nearby trees.

And: Overman Simmons nearly loses his cool. And you know that’s an episode in itself.

Letter VIII- A Bug Falls On William's Desk

Fri, 18 Jul 2025 16:00:00 GMT

Mail's here! And it's the 8th letter if you can't read Roman numerals.

In this episode of the Abbey of Bitter Tea River, well... the episode title does it justice. William can be rather introspective.

But I've definitely seen beetles like he describes here. Hey, also, do you ever fold letters like he folds his? A single crease down the center to fit into the envelope? Or are you weird and fold it multiple times, "into thirds," like a maniac?

Take the poll on Spotify to let us know your folding preference.

Letter VII- Confounds, Inspires, Mystifies

Fri, 11 Jul 2025 16:00:00 GMT

Mail's here!

In this episode of the Abbey of Bitter Tea River, William tells us of the beauty of the Abbey and its folk. He also describes how a set of baby pigs has joined the animals on the Abbey grounds. Brother Hamish cooks again (who would've guessed), and the sweltering heat keeps most of the Abbey in the shade.

Apparently, there is also a cat living at the Abbey, too. No dogs, yet.... Maybe.

Letter VI- Earnest Happiness

Fri, 04 Jul 2025 16:00:00 GMT

Another letter off to the parents of William Thanegood!

What's in said letter?

A new character, Brother Medden, adventurer and historian, and maybe a bit ameteur archeologist.

Descriptions of a flower with a "blue hue." Maybe a bit lame.

William fails to sneak around the kitchen.

Letter IV- Supreme Akwardness

Fri, 27 Jun 2025 16:04:00 GMT

Mail's here! Its another letter from William to his parents (Reading somebody else's mail AS its being written? For shame.), letting us know more about life on the Abbey grounds. Horseback riding is great, unless you are judged for picking the wrong horse, let alone learning to ride bare-back.

But hey; at the Abbey, all make mistakes. Some just make bigger mistakes.
