Synopsis:
Join unlikely friends and adventurers Maluna Shadowgrimace, Aguayo the Papist, and Shaeyna Tealeaf in the world of Saddothra as their simple mission to loot an old lost mine thrusts WAY more responsibility to save the world upon them than anyone was in the mood for. This is the Dungeons & Dragons, 5th Edition actual play podcast for players and non-players alike. Whether you're a masterful minmaxer or you couldn't care less what a critical attack bonus is, you'll be anxiously awaiting to hear the outcome of every roll. Shining Kingdom is equal parts improv comedy, group storytelling, radio drama, and live play of a tabletop RPG; tightly edited to keep the goofs and story coming. This serialized adventure is told on a "fortnite" basis (That's some SEO keyword craft right there. Don't hate!) with original music and soundscapes by a bunch of lifelong buddies who actually have chemistry together.

You can probably start here if this is your introduction to the series and you don’t want to commit 12 or so hours to catching up.
That being said, is this a super thorough backlog of everything that’s happened so far? Eh… Not necessarily. It’s more like a Netflix season recap. It’s enough to help those returning to the show go “Oh yeah. I remember that.” While newcomers will go, “Oh okay. I’ve got a vibe on these characters. Let’s go.” Either way. Well worth a visit to our world!

But it’s just not the same as the joy that came from watching you favorite celebs yuck it up in the credits of a bad comedy. It’s like you were pals. You were right there with them!

But can they keep that knowledge from the folks in this home where they’ve been caught committing their first B&E? Can Shaeyna continue to restrain old Glasstaff before he spills the beans on their identities? Aguayo still needs a lil’ help getting into this caper, but isn’t afraid to make threats from afar. Maluna might need to talk him off the ledge from more murders. And she’ll meet spy on something new and exciting along the way.

Anyway, their primary objective of recovering their map from Glasstaff seems to have evaded them thus far. But what's that commotion out in the streets? They'll investigate with all the subtlety and stealth they're known for.
They'll need all their brains and wits for this caper. But Shaeyna has a plan; something she learned from the classic film Billy Madison. Aguayo will make an attempt at covert ops. And Maluna... well. She's just about fed up with the nonsense from both of these dummies.

Maluna’s hearing voices, but the other Dungeon Rascals are keeping their eyes on the prize: promises of the dankest bud this side of Neverwinter. As their search for weed and (…oh yeah, that map to Wave Echo Cave that Glasstaff has!) continues. Will the next characters they meet be friend or foe? Looks like Maluna will have to get down on some v*****s' level to make negotiations and find out. But can she make it through a whole social interaction with a non-humanoid creature without putting an accidentally racist foot in her privileged half-elf mouth?
And for that matter, can anyone explain why Wizards of the Coast maintains the casually racist and hierarchical culture of Dungeons & Dragons lore after all these years?!

Well whoda’ thunk it. These dumb dumbs are being summoned to save the *checks notes* world? That can’t be right… It is? Oh no. This is not good. These people are total idiots!
Since that’s apparently what we’re stuck with, they best be off to recover that map for Gundren from old Glasstaff. Meanwhile, Shaeyna finds her newfound love is quickly lost to witness protection. Don’t worry, she and the other Dungeon Rascals will surely take their disappointment out on some no good Red Bull boys.

Maluna and Aguayo get creative in the effort to save one of their patrons and continue on to Phandalin.
