Continuing on their Journey to the Last Light trading outpost, Tom and Bucky reach the first obstacle in their way as they arrive at the forgotten city of Sky Fall. Built before prewar times, the city has withstood it all, but the same can't be said for the people that remain. Left with no other option, the two travelers accompanied by their trusty steed Betty, press onward in pursuit of answers and solutions. All in hopes of preventing catastrophic events that move in closer with each passing day.

Meanwhile, the delivery crew is a day ahead of travel time as they arrive at the Last Light. Stopping to fuel up in order to reach the distant lab of Nexus 9, they receive a new update to their mission.

After hearing the fallen Captain's message left for Tom, Tom and Bucky embark on their journey. Trailing the unmarked cargo vehicle said to leave before sunrise, the two see for themselves what's really going on behind closed doors of their superiors. The delivery crew driving the unmarked vehicle reaches their destination first, at a fortified lab tucked away in a mountainside. To their discovery, nobody seems to be home, but what they realize is worse than what they could have imagined.

After subduing the Female Killard from its rampage on the city, Tom and Bucky return to the base to report on the events that took place. With the captain (Tom's father) gone and many others lost to the battle, the city gathers to mourn their sacrifices. After the sun goes down, Bucky finds Tom heading back to his home on the outskirts within the city. To their discovery, the captain had left behind an important message that will change the course of their lives, giving birth to a new horrifying reality.

After Tom and Bucky part ways. Bucky rides off with his trusty steed. As he begins his journey into nowhere, he contemplates whether he should of went with Tom in an attempt to stop the Colossal Female Killard from eviscerating his city.

Meanwhile back at the base, John witnesses everyone in a panic preparing for a fight. After being called down to the hanger and unaware of what is to transpire, A sergeant name Hines recruits John to operate a T-140 Light Land Rover Tank for the fight.

Saved by Bucky, a drifter in cowboy like attire, Tom regains his strength after escaping deaths clutches. Being told the near future of his city is in danger, Tom races against the time to get back in order to stop a catastrophe from occurring.

Meanwhile John sits back at the city's base in turmoil, believing Tom was killed during their escort mission. In belief that he was the only one to survive bringing back the top secrete cargo; he mourns over his best friend's death.

While on a highly classified escort mission across the desolate desert wasteland, Tom's Cargo vehicle breaks down hours away from returning to base. Furious with the Convoy's new predicament, the Captain (Tom's Father) engages in an argument with Tom's quick abilities over the timeliness of repairs. Stuck in the middle of a rapidly growing desert storm, the situation quickly escalates as a very real danger appears before them.
