Synopsis:
A horror/mystery audio drama miniseries. Strange tapes, ghost trains, witches, and conspiracy theorists. In 1945, a continental train bound for the east coast stopped in Appalachia and was never seen again. But one passenger, a reporter, did come home. And she claimed something was following her. It's now 1983. The woman has gone missing. Her niece finds magnetic tape reels in her attic that contain recordings from the doomed overland passage. Something compels her to keep listening. No, the creepy old tapes in the attic aren’t cursed. But what are they doing there? It’s 1983. Fresh out of journalism school (ie: unemployed) Stevie Maynard finds a haunting mystery to unravel. The tapes belonged to her aunt, Dotty Colleran, a reporter back in the day. Except, Dotty went missing in the ‘60s, having vanished without a trace… until now. The tapes Stevie finds are from 1945. Dotty’s last assignment: aboard an Overland Route train carrying returning troops home across the United States. The train never made it to its final destination. Dotty came back different somehow. Before she disappeared for good, she claimed something was following her.
