Candy Claus, Private Eye

13 episodes

Full cast Crime and Mystery Serial Audio Drama

Synopsis:

Santa's bastard daughter solves hardboiled Christmas crimes on the North Pole in this half-hour audio comedy. Candy is a death-metal-loving, peppermint-schnapps-swilling PI trying to solve the North Pole’s first murder in 500 years without learning the true meaning of Christmas. A sendup of toxic positivity and prodigal homecomings, the show introduces characters like SANTA BLOB (a deformed snowman built as a surrogate Santa Claus), MOPPET (a gingerbread man baker conscripted as a pathologist) and GUMDROP THE WINTER SQUID (a Krampus-esque calamari committing unspeakable acts on the seafloor).

Presenting: Sorry About the Murder

Tue, 18 Jun 2024 20:19:00 +0000

Merry June, everyone! We're here to bring you a quick update and share a new show we love.

CANDY CLAUS, PRIVATE EYE recently won Best Comedy/Adventure Podcast at the LA Webfest! Woo hoo. Super merry. We had a blast meeting other creators as part of the fest, some in person and some online. One of those creators was Drew Frohmann, who took home Best Director that same night for HUMAN-B-GON. Drew has another mystery podcast that we think you'll love. It takes place just South of the North Pole (aka Canada), and it's an icy mystery with a totally different flavor: SORRY ABOUT THE MURDER.

Every day in the nice little Canadian town of Beavermount, Ontario, a Zamboni driver has to solve a grisly murder to clear his Québecois name…and ready the ice for that night’s hockey game.

Enjoy!
