Solo Fantasy Serial Audio Book

Synopsis:

I've been writing stories for my children for years and now I want to share them with you. Each episode tells a part of a much larger story that all together makes up the epic tale called The Iris Chronicles. It's where a young girl from a remote fishing town discovers her magical heritage and her destiny to save the world.

Ep. 3 Uma and Paradise in Dreamland - The Evil Wizard

Thu, 24 Oct 2024 09:00:00 -0700

This is a special one off episode that I wrote with my younger daughter Uma. We wrote and recorded it all in one Sunday afternoon so please excuse any audio errors or slipups on my part. It's quite a bit different from the Iris Chronicles as it's a bit more like the cartoons she really loves than part of some giant epic series that Iris prefers. We really had a good time putting it together and I hope you enjoy it too!

Ep. 2 - The Legend of Two Moons Bay

Thu, 07 Dec 2023 13:30:00 -0700

This episode tells a short story about how Prince Ogdor fell in love with Princess Lumia's sunsets and how he made a nice comfy place for himself to watch her paint the sky. This story is meant to explain why the bay looks the way it does!

Ep. 1 - Short Version - The Shark in the Bay

Fri, 17 Nov 2023 09:00:00 -0700

This episode is a short version of the The Shark In The Bay, one of the many stories in the The Iris Chronicles. My previous idea for the podcast was to release parts of the longer story as a series of episodes but I realized that writing and recording a whole book, and all the worldbuilding that goes along with it was going to be a massive undertaking. Not only that, but this way it's the right length for a bedtime story.

It's also a nice introduction to the world of The Iris Chronicles and some of the main characters without going into long backstories that can lose the interest of younger children like my daughter Uma.

This is my first time ever writing, acting out the voices and recording one of our many bedtime stories so I hope you forgive some of the inconsistencies in the quality. It's also the first time Iris has ever done any voice acting. I think she did an amazing job and I hope you enjoy listening to her do her dialogue nearly as much as I do.

Thanks for listening!
