In the final episode for season one, 'Taking Control', is the story of Sophia, a writer and a resident of an upmarket apartment building in the inner city. Irreparably damaged from a broken relationship, she lives in fear of being hurt again, until she reaches her tipping point. This is both a story of loss and hope. In this weeks story 'The Good Son', a man spends his life desperately seeking the approval of his father, but was always in the shadow of his older brother. I wrote this adopting another narrative voice and it was a biographical piece, inspired by my own father after we had been looking at some old photographs and reflecting on some his experiences.
