Seltzer - the editor and resident hockeypuck of a goblin; Miss DeeDee DeVille - the gossip columnist, war veteran, and tiefling-socialite-extraordinaire; Ampersand - the not-so-gentle iron giant with a typewriter for a stomach; and Montgomery Oberdine Fizzlewicket d'Sivis IV - a disgraced gnomish journalist, with a penchant for naivety and truth-seeking.

Monty meets the rest of the gang for the first time, and the team's boss, Timtam Breckyweck, sends them to find stories to cover during a weeklong festival.

Gravel, Starilaskur's well-known resident simp, pays the gang a visit at Monty's apartment early in the morning. Mostly to tell an ancient tale of a forgotten weapon, but also to flirt with DeeDee. After then debriefing with Timtam shortly after, the group splits up.

Monty and Amp pay a visit to Vod, the warforged runner-up of the Youth Tournament, in order to secure an interview. Meanwhile, Seltzer and DeeDee head to the Skyblades Adult Tournament, and emotionally demolish a rival paper's journalist! (don't worry she deserves it)

The Jedi have a big fight (with their enemy, not each other), but make it out alive somehow. Returning to Theed after receiving a holovoicemail from Captain Panaka, they take shelter in the most annoying NPC's laser-repellent bunker. Deciding the Queen needs to speak her mind to the senate, they parry (very well) and pilot (very bad) their way through some droids, attempt the barricade run, and then get sorta political.

Only Leeross and Jart would have to take three episodes to bungle their way through the overly complicated scheming of the canonical Star Wars universe, but we did it! May the Force be with you.

They call themselves Vinique, now that they are a wereraven, and leave for Chalet Brantifax after having a heavy conversation with Snarl. The gang takes the elven kids with them, investigates the ranch at the end of town, has a meeting with another member of the wereraven group, and hikes through the backcountry. All this, before having a fateful encounter at a bridge with a familiar acquaintance. . .

The initiates prepare for the journey east, across the southern edge of the Hinterlands, to the remote kingdom of the Stablands. When the Hurtz Inter-Hinterland Wagoneers arrive, they do so with friendly faces in the mix: Urthur Broadbarrow, having left Immerfell to join the initiates in the field, and the harpy-beset duo Roscoe "Lightning" Thislewhip and Phyllisus "Danger" Forkwalker! No mere one-shot guest characters, Roscoe and Phyll joined up with the Hurtz Mercs as they needed something to do after the events in Vermeillon and Phyll saved Roscoe from impending harpy death. Together again, the gang travels eastward with their armed and armored escort. Stabman guides the caravan to cut through boar trails near his homeland after a few days of travel, in order to save time reaching the city, but Fordson and drow priestesses aren't the only evils that would see our heroes fail to solve the mysteries unfolding before them. . .

The gang meets the man that passed such incredibly dominant masculine genes down to Hieronymous: King Stabman himself! Wounded in the previous days' combats, but not out of the fight, he fills everyone in on what has happened. Though Hieronmyous and his friends were able to take out a contingent of Knights and dispel Waldman for a time, the King fears many more enemies lie in wait throughout the city, and Waldman may not be so easily dispatched. Roscoe finds love(?) and provides medical assistance. Snarl and Stabman convince Vinique to embark on a most perilous journey. Xyfiel sees what his elven eyes can see. . .

There the weaving of a hideous arcane ritual has begun, but the cultists are not the only ones who deal in blood when the fate of an entire city is on the line. Snarl keeps a foot in each realm of harm and heal, Xyfiel learns blood is thicker than water, Stabman screams the entire time, and Roscoe casts echoes beyond time and space.

The elder twin Stabman, Prince Archibald is confirmed alive by the party, if not happy and healthy. Their position immediately revealed to the enemy, the team leaps from the stands and into action, cutting down Black Knights and cultists alike. A bald and annoying cult leader pretends he's cool enough to get into a wizard fight with Roscoe but learns the true nature of badass magic the hard way. Karazarak attempts to intervene as the party sets their heels in for the last push to save not just Archibald, but the entirety of the Stablands.

The Chroniclers check in with their allies after clearing the Rumbledome and interrupting the ritual taking place. Unfortunately, the pillar of light above Waldman's Menagerie turns red. The light from the east and west rends the sky asunder with crimson lightning as they draw toward the center of the city causing damage to the infrastructure. With no time to waste, the party rushes to the center, Queen Hilde's Plaza, dodging Black Knights, crumbling buildings, and scarlet lightning - all before a final, desperate confrontation.

The Chronologist Chronicles Epilogue

This is it - the real last episode for the Chronologist Chronicles! Karazarak's return is no longer a looming threat (for now), but the party still has some things to do. . .notably tending to their fallen ally. Hieronymous is struck with a touch of melancholy, as this is not the return he was expecting, while the others help and prepare for the next leg in their personal journeys. Vinique completes their very important mission.

After the wrap-up, we have a little tidbit about what the characters decide to do in the following year. The Chronologists part and go their separate ways, but their stories are not finished yet.

Every beginning begets an end, but so too does every end beget a beginning!
