We are introduced to Takehiro Asami and Yuuki Soma. Takehiro has been hospitalized due to being involved in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. He is told some upsetting news by Yuuki and Hatori, a relative of Yuuki's and a doctor at the hospital where Takehiro is hospitalized.

Takehiro is the heir to the famous Asami Corporation. Heartbroken from being rejected by Misaki, Takehiro has moved on as his brother and Misaki draw closer to tying the knot.
