Episode 10: The Kapre in the Mist

The Komodo Dragon has a huge coconut tree on board - don't ask why! Jimmy falls down from top of the tree, alarming Captain Teruk, who gets scared that maybe the tree is inhabited by a Kapre. Upon Jimmy’s query, Captain Teruk tells him that a Kapre is a mischievous spirit creature from the Philippines, and loves to mislead people. Captain Teruk then starts narrating the tale of how a young wood carver stumbled upon an ancient Kapre - a meeting that led to the adventure of a lifetime! Episode 9: Hotinh: The Fiendish Fox

We start off on a cold night aboard the Komodo Dragon. The crew is enjoying eating hot soup around a warm fire, when Jimmy clumsily crashes into the dishes, and almost gets hurt. This prompts Captain Teruk to narrate a story from Vietnam, about how a young man like Jimmy took on the fearsome Ho Tinh, the Monster Fox. Episode 8: Temple of the Tikbalang

Captain Teruk and his men are smuggling a majestic prize horse after a particularly rewarding day of pirating. When Jimmy unintentionally insults the horse and gets kicked by it, Captain Teruk tells him not to mess around with a relative of the fearsome Tikbalang. This leads the Captain to the tale of the two Tikbalang, set in the Philippines. One of them is good and noble, who sacrifices everything for the greater good, while the other...not so much. And entwined with these two Tikbalang, is the fate of Tanashiri, a simple young villager, who brings a revolution to the entire region. Episode 7: Rangda’s Revenge

Captain Teruk sees Jimmy watching a scuffle between two monkeys intently. When Jimmy tells Teruk that he is finding this friendly fight between the two monkeys cute, Captain Teruk warns him that simple competitions between monkeys can be terribly dangerous. One such contest had almost overturned the throne of Bali. Captain Teruk now proceeds to narrate the tale of the legendary enmity between Barong and Rangda, and how a contest between two monkeys led to an epic clash between them, the repercussions of which nearly toppled the throne of Bali. Captain Teruk warns Jimmy that these are the commonest disguises of the dokkaebi, the mischievous goblins found in Korea, and insulting them is supposed to bring years of ill-fortune. This leads the Captain to narrate the tale of a tea party which some dokkaebi crashed in ancient Korea, and how the resulting chaos engulfed the King himself! Episode 3: The Merlion’s Kingdom
