Our Circle thinks they are out of danger now that the nephwrack and his warstrider are out of the picture. Thanks to the Hearteater showing up, they are wrong. Now they have to stop the entirety of the Daedi from being mind controlled, all while trying to get to Champoor on time to find the missing Night Caste.

In the midst of all this, Atom duels his most potent foe yet: embezzlement! Gavel runs a marathon and beats up her own troops! Lythander tells some terrible jokes and has to explain why mind control is, in fact, evil! All this before even getting to what the gang discovers on the outskirts of Champoor! And, to think, this was supposed to be a chill, breather episode!

Following the twin trails of the missing Night Caste and the magical disease hitting Champoor, the gang arrives at the Nighted City to find it awash with gangs in the midst of a macro-scale martial arts duel. Also thefts, and not just from pickpockets-Hell's greatest thief is also out here, taking everything not nailed down. So naturally the Circle...only tertially interacts with that and spends a major chunk of the episode shopping! Because they are still TTRPG PCs at heart!

On the personal fronts, Gavel gets a new frenemnemesis who looks awfully familiar! Atom gets the gang ready for a mid-Act costume change! Lythander and special guest star Willow Spectre re-enact some classic comedy routines! And, in the distance...do I see...a tournament arc?

Act 2 Episode 8: The Magistrate Everywhere System

Today on FateBreakers, the gang has no chance to relax in between brackets, as the looming threat of jellyfish invasion drifts ever closer to Champoor. To prevent the entire city from being sacked, the Circle has to court allies, uncover the Sidereal's sinister plot, and start the long process of god bothering the divine underground. But Champoor is a place where Way Too Much Happens Every Day, so there's a lot of sidequests in the way first!

Additionally: Gavel finally finds someone edgier than she is! Aura gets robbed and goes prospecting! Lythander talks to a beehive that tries to explain why he really needs to take Stinger more seriously! Janest nearly hits bonfire anima just by looking at stuff hard! Unblinking Eye summons a massive earth elemental to do delicate intrigue work! And the weather gets really intense today! Really intense!

Act 2 Episode 13: Lythander’s Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day

With the clock running out on the demon summoning (and the encroaching army, and Sozen's heist, and who knows what else in the background...), the Circle gathers their allies and makes plans to ensure Champoor is still in one piece by sunrise. But that requires restoring the rest of Lythander's lost memories which reveal some rather disturbing truths. Both from his prior lives, and also this one: Meon's memory curse was just the beginning.

Meanwhile, Aura holds an intervention for her gun! Gavel learns about naval warfare and finally gets the gang a boat! Unblinking Eye finds out how the Hearteater is, somehow, worse than we already thought! Lythander stops a ghost sky pickpocket from stealing their stuff! And we move on to the finals of the fight club! But, uh, it is not a smooth finale! Hey, what's that prayer strip say? Why's it glowing like that?

Act 2 Episode 14: Staring Contest With The Abyss(al)

Meon's trap has been sprung, and the gang must now escape both the ocean's crushing depths and the terrifying demon attempting to fry them all. And the army of jellyfishfolk now visible on the horizon, they're still here too. While the Circle struggles to reorient themselves and strike back at their Sidereal foe, their allies uncover the final pieces of several puzzles, and finally enter the long battle to save the Nighted City from the oncoming mini-apocalypses!

Aura also has another run-in with Sky Sundering Shadow, who wants to make good on their contract from back in Act 1. She reveals some ominous information about the coming fight and offers yet another devil's bargain to help turn the tide. Also, Gavel's own army forgets who she is! Lythander singlehandedly invents a shovel-based martial art! Many, many high-difficulty rolls get blown out of the water! Nellens Liza has a harebrained scheme, and Rajeev gets some major flashbacks! A lot's going on today, on the penultimate episode of Act 2!

Dan weaponizes the power of boredom to frightening effect! JK gets absolutely sloshed, and this somehow turns out to be helpful! Tyson discovers the wonders of improvised weapons! The GM gets to play some heated arguments between angry siblings! And the very first puzzle pieces in this conspiracy become clear! It's a very snaking puzzle, if you catch our drift!

Act 3 Episode 1: Second Circle Demon Spring Break

There's no rest for the wicked, but the virtuous don't have time to waste either. Meon was far from the only force menacing Champoor, and as Octavian inches ever closer, the Circle regroups and prepares to deal with one of Hell's mightiest demons. To those ends, Gavel calls forth a Second Circle ally of her own, to...varying effect.

As the Circle navigates a tense negotiation with Lythander's Solar mate. the Economy of Souls and Swords springs his trap on Champoor, and two armies finally meet. But...neither army is what the other side was expecting, in many different, concerning ways.

Gavel starts a new exercise and diet craze for local sailors! Aura gets into some perilous social combat! Lythander racks up some high combo streaks! And the entire table learns a very valuable lesson: why setting your war to auto-battle is a really, really bad idea!

Driving further down the trail of spectral breadcrumbs, our trio of intrepid (and increasingly disgruntled) investigators face a duo of Stand Users across nature and urbana both. The further they delve into the Red Giant conspiracy, the more complex and esoteric the abilities of the trafficking ring get-the crew must dig deep to outwit and outfight their foes. Or, dig shallow and just kind of wander around Bedford, depending on how you look at it.

Tyson screws up a sculpture exhibit and has a massive punch rush against...the floor! Dan messes with the Lament Configuration! JK harnesses the terrifying power of seasonal allergies! Things get perilously vertical for heroes and villains alike! The squad debates history and appropriate meditative practices with sworn enemies! And...is it just me, or are those rainbows getting awfully closer?

The Circle kicks off the Champoor Jellyfish War by facing the Economy's crack strike kraken, stolen and mindjacked from a Lunar who was not paying attention to counter-schemes. Oops. Luckily, our heroes have allies and frenemies to assist in their own plans: Sky Sundering Shadow wants to make another deal, that Sovereign from up Northwest has some critical Auroral advice to give, and Nue is on hand to discover some truly disturbing weapons the Hearteater has on him.

Lythander gets hit with his greatest weaknesses: any social intrigue at all! Gavel gets stuck in a conference call at the worst possible time! Aura gets a blast from the past, with some threatening collateral damage! The Daedi communist revolution faces its first true obstacle: a Powerpoint presentation! The truth of the Economy is revealed, and...it's about what you'd expect! But somehow, so much worse! Hey, where are all those Pawns he should have, anyways?

Even in a tense thriller story about chasing down supernatural kidnappers, there has to be room for levity! Such is the case this episode, where JK and Dan get up to what we can only describe as cartoonish comedy bits with bystanders that words alone cannot hope to describe. And then Stand battles break out, the most dangerous ones thus far in our tale!

JK discovers many new and exciting things to put inside his Stand soda can! Dan somehow does almost as much damage with a normal utility knife as the manifestation of his soul! Tyson gets ripped off, in more ways than one! Many, many explosions happen! Plus, we find out what's up with all those rainbows popping up in the sky! And yet, despite all this, the scariest thing of all: a normal ambush with devastating consequences!

Act 3 Episode 5: Crouching Tiger Stylist, Hidden Deathlord

The Economy is dealt with. But, well, the Circle weren't the ones to get the final blow. The missing Dawn is here...as a Dusk caste, who is very much intent on causing further problems to replace the one he just punched to death. With only Aura's truce field standing between them and a terrifying force of destruction buffed by the post-Exaltation rush, the gang has to get creative to avoid sharing the Hearteater's fate.

In doing so, Aura is pushed to the limits of her patience talking to this guy. But is he really the biggest threat here? Gavel debates taking on a major infrastructure project! Lythander has to make an important choice for sharing Artifact custody with! And the Gaol's pocket space is stretched to its absolute limits by both the Dusk's prowess and the mightiest specters of the Underworld beside him! It's a harrowing beginning to our new arc today!

Our heroes faced their biggest challenge yet: a lost episode due to multiple technical failures for half the cast! Luckily, a reconstruction still covers the major beats of the gang's trip to Boston as they reach the upper rungs of the Red Giant's Ladder. JK pulls off some incredibly clever Stand schemes, Tyson learns a horrifying truth about the true nature of Linkin Park, and Dan shoots a man many times with unexpected effects! And that's just the recap of lost material, there's ANOTHER FULL EPISODE 35 minutes in!

It's the main event. Finally, the gang comes face to face with Theo and Sofia, at the top of the Red Giant's Ladder. And...no matter how prepared they thought they were coming into this, nothing could prepare them for how the cards fall down. Stand Battles? Yes, those happen, but now is when the truth of the cost of Sofia's schemes come to light. Along with the true identity of the god she so desperately wants to resurrect.

JK finally unlocks Epsilon's puzzle box, and just in time, the gang needs every bit of power they can muster against Sofia. Tyson finally confronts the woman who kidnapped his children, and witnesses the terrifying power of her Stand. And Dan has a vital role to play in a critical moment, in the midst of an ultimate attack that has dire implications for...well, everyone. Look up. The sky's coming down.

Act 3 Episode 6: Vicious Goat Debates on the High Sea

The Champoor Jellyfish War is won. And now, our heroes finally have a chance to rest. In...Champoor's Underworld mirror. After it has been wrecked by the Deathlord that annihilated it just by walking too closely. Never mind. Taking shelter with Lythander's mentor Seven Obsidian Leopard, the gang fall face first into a tense debate over the spoils of war, and quickly discover that their troubles are far from over with the Hearteater's remains in tow.

Gavel finally finds a line even she won't cross in anti-imperialist warfare! Lythander gets a necromancy exam and decides to mess with the Economy's ghost! In the most shocking moment of the campaign thus far, Aura doesn't make a contract with someone! We finally find out what's up with Nue, and it turns out she's as much a disaster demigod as everyone else here! And, after a very uncomfortable rest, the gang meets a new friend on the beach and decides to crush some Fair Folk heads! But what are those heads going to be used for, exactly? Time will tell!

JJBA: Tomb of the Red Giant Episode 8: Broken Bridge

It's been an eventful 48 hours for everyone. But now it's here. In the aftermath of the confrontation with Sofia, an apocalypse looms over the entire planet. Our trio of Stand Users take to the skies and desperately throw out plan after plan to save the world. Both from the incoming extinction event meteors...and whoever sponsored Sofia's ambitions in the first place.

On the finale of the first cour of Tomb of the Red Giant, Tyson struggles to push Linkin Park to its absolute limits to solve the meteorites problem with a certain solution involving spinning. A startling secret about Dan comes to light. JK makes use of Virtual Insanity's physics hacking to great aplomb. And a new enemy rears its head, that turns the entirety of Stand power on its head. This is the end of this arc, and we do go out with a bang! Many, many massive bangs!

Act 3 Episode 7: Gossamer Sights, Alchemical Lights

The Circle moves on the Fair Folk Freehold adrift in the Dreaming Sea, and...well, it's not what they expected. Or, well, what anyone expected: turns out faeries can work off the cuff to keep things "interesting" on their home turf. But they aren't the only concerns the gang now faces: the enigmatic Mind-Over-Body Orator appears with his own agenda. One that Aura has some pointed objections to.

Lythander's overlooking of a prior deal comes back to haunt him, and he is forced to pay back with interest. Gavel learns a lot about urban infrastructure from a highly reliable source: Hell itself. Nue breaks several world swimming records all at once! The faeries go for some really lowbrow comedy! And Spider is still here! Much to everyone's chagrin!

Act 3 Episode 10: The One Where Everyone Is Horny

As the gang gets ready to depart their new island and finish up the promised tournament, things get hot and heavy (both in "this episode has more raunchy jokes and sexual content than usual" and "tense exchanges of emotion and threats"). Octavian is getting ready to collect on his promised duel, and beyond him, Prasad's Wyld Hunt has been called to action against our Circle. With both a casual sports tournament and more brutal supernatural wars on the horizon, the gang considers their options and gathers new intel.

Lythander gets close to Obscura and does what many Exalted PCs have done before: get entangled with heated demonic romance! Aura gatecrashes one of Octavian's side hustles and confronts the Dream-Souled shopkeeper on his unethical business practices! Meriday: a beautiful coastal city, currently pincered between a massive Arken ruin spewing monsters at it and the imperial army occupying it to harvest its treasures. Our heroes infiltrate the Blue Crown forces to try and beat the empire to the Lunar Tear Ore and other assorted rare goodies, but...well, it turns out they're looking for something else. Something older. Or...perhaps...someone? Perhaps related to that talking eyeball from last time?

In confronting the imperial forces, Andre unlocks the edgelord secret technique of really angry ranting! Zaffir becomes the GM's worst nightmare by breaking positioning setups in tactical combat! Mantrax makes a new friend with a lot of baggage! The empire, in a shocking twist, turns out to be evil! Both the old one and the new one! Also, crunchy combat, at long last!

Act 3 Episode 11: Emergency Pattern Spider Bake Sale

With the ramp up to the semifinals well underway, the gang furthers their preparations for the incoming Wyld Hunt. However, in doing so, they stumble upon, quite possibly, the greatest threat to Creation ever known. Y'know, that part of the intro to each episode? Yeah, that's finally coming into play now.

In confronting one of those involved, we finally get a proper introduction to Hundred Venoms Stinger and the answer to all the Nefarious Plots they've been pulling thus far. Also, Gavel and Nue do some home decorating! Aura gets entangled in heated romance too, albeit with much different results! Lythander initiating Perdo into necromancy bears fruit with startling results! Spider continues to grouse about not being able to murder people! Many other NPCs get rightfully concerned or aggressive towards Spider about that! And, just maybe, a hint of the endgame of FateBreakers becomes visible, far in the horizon!

ICON Ruin Runners Chapter 1 Episode 3: Rolling Dice for Lives (and Profit!)

The clock is ticking down on the Imperial forces catching up to our heroes, so it's a race against time to escape Pablo's Tomb with the Relict pirate himself in tow! Unfortunately, even after fleeing the automatons, the tomb's traps prove to be far more perilous! And even if we escape the tomb, can we truly run from the horrors of...living in a capitalist society?

Andre does a ton of acrobatic feats and uses lots of lateral thinking, but turns out to have a deadly weakness: fish! Mantrax rums themselves ragged over puzzles and flubs a lot of contingency rolls to just stumble through most of the ruins! Zaffir loses Dust on a bad bet and has questionable spending habits! Pablo...made this way more difficult than it should have been, honestly? But now, the overall arc for Ruin Runners becomes clear: finding the remainder of his Not One Piece...

Act 3 Episode 15: Love Wins

Act 3 Episode 16: An Eclipse Over El Dorado

With the Wyld Hunt visible in their future, the Circle now learns about their past: it's time for Aura's First Age ghost to reveal the truth about El Dorado. An Artifact rated, on the scale of 1 to 5...rank N/A. Now, the horrors of late antiquity, as well as the bloodbath that was the Usurpation, claw their way to terrifying modern relevance. But, maybe, just maybe, the gang can find a solution to the mechanism's millennia of torment to free those trapped within...

(CWs for existential horror, apeirophobia/fear of infinity, paralyphobia/fear of paralysis, and discussions of imperialism and colonialization)

Gavel finally realizes why people were so angry with her prior incarnations, and drives some hard bargains with an old frenemy to gird against the Wyld Hunt! Lythander learns he's not the only one with time twisting magic in the neighborhood and has to cope with inadequacies of not being cool enough to hang at the table with other Celestial Exalts! Aura...well, in addition to all of the above with her First Age self, makes plans for a seaside vacation! Strawmaiden Janest rolls a horrifying amount of successes! Also, Seven Obsidian Leopard's messing with Lythander's demense becomes a big problem!

Turns out we can't even get to Green Hell Island proper without catching hell of our own from a pirate attack! It's an all-out brawl between our heroes (and Ophelia) versus our sinister stowaways, with all the tourist's way too expensive cargo up for the taking!

Andre does ruinous amounts of damage and does impressive stunts all across the battlefield! Mantrax uses the campaign's first Limit Break to dramatic and highly useful effect! Zaffir attempts to cheese the encounter, only for it to backfire horribly on him! Ophelia sends everyone to space! But who will come out in the lead of this KO count contest? We'll have to wait till the dust settles to tell!

ICON Ruin Runners Chapter 1 Episode 6: Land, Sea, and Air Special Buffet

With the pirates thoroughly defeated, the gang interrogates them about their motives, and uncovers the tip of this proverbial iceberg and what sort of people are behind such brazen pillaging. But before we can deal with that, Green Hell Island awaits, in all its irradiated splendor! The Arkenruins are lousy with magitech runoff and it is NOT agreeing with the local wildlife! Even getting to the ruins is an adventure in and of itself!

Andre finally succeeds on a fishing roll and drinks deeply of the pelagian wisdom therein! Mantrax gets a side gig as a toymaker for the monkey community! Zaffir talks to basically the entire ecosystem, with very mixed results! Ophelia finally realizes how weird the rest of her temporary party is! Pablo almost gets skullnapped! And the whole gang almost dies several times before getting anywhere near the next dungeon!

Act 3 Episode 18: The Face-Eating Leopards Political Fundraiser

With Seven Obsidian Leopard's stubborn mind set into stone, the Circle has no choice but to evict him from their demense by force. It sure as hell isn't going to be easy to fight a Lunar elder. And his clones. And the armies of undead he can summon with but a moment's thought. And the grab bag of esoteric moon magics he's spent centuries mastering. But surely our heroes can prevail, right? Maybe, just maybe, they can, if only they can outperform him in ridiculous stunts.

Appropriately enough this involves Lythander getting into a massive necromancy beam struggle with his estranged mentor, as well as a debate on just how effective a shovel is as a weapon. Aura has a very bad time with another enemy that hard-counters her skillset and gets continually hammered with increasingly nasty curses! Gavel digs through Leopard's corruputed geomancy to scour any possible weaknesses: what she finds is quite unexpected! Nue reminds everyone why Full Moon Lunars are horrifying combat juggernauts! And Amir keeps panicking over his big screw-up from last time! Also about the Wyld Hunt barreling towards everyone, that too!

Mantrax is accosted by the most nefarious of the ocean's predators: a horse! Andre tries to re-enact the infamous ending of Old Yeller with a hellhound! Zaffir (and his player) turn the rules against both of the above to great effect! Ophelia's monkey friend does some sick stunts to get sweet, sweet loot! And Ohelia herself? She gets hit a lot in the ensuing fight! But there's still more violence to come, deeper in!

Act 3 Episode 19:The One Where The Wyld Hunt Finally Shows Up

It's all in the episode title, honestly. The Wyld Hunt is officially on, and our heroes are not ready. Or, not ready yet, at least. In a desperate attempt to gather intel, Lythander takes flight to Prasad's garrison at Madara, to sabotage what he can and try to uncover their enemies' secrets. But can he do so in time to make sure the Ashen Ones and the Maw of Cecelyne survive the Hunt? Lythander encounters the one person in Creation who can counter his comedy shenanigans, and to survive her sinister magic he must make some difficult choices! Gavel gets on the phone with the Yozi's foremost expert in infrastructure to prepare for severe inclement weather! Aura concocts a bold plan to turn the elements against the element powered demigods: a plan so novel it might even work! Red Hand Rebirth finally shows up (sort of) and has a very one sided family reunion with dear old dad! The Wyld Hunt's general reveals the many skeletons in his closet totally unprompted! Act 3 Episode 20: Open Mic Night at Malfeas's Top Comedy Club

In the precious few hours before the Wyld Hunt's assault on the Maw of Cecelyne begins, the Circle and the Ashen Ones fire up all the contingencies built across the whole act. Difficult decisions are made regarding the warstrider and the Hearteater's bones, and a new presence at the eleventh hour kicks down the door to vex everyone. No matter how genuine and easy his offer seems, there's always a catch when dealing with another Infernal...

Lythander debates what is and isn't comedy with someone even more contratian than he is, and almost causes another Hearteater incident by complete accident! Gavel discovers that the Yozi and their servants can actually be super evil; hopefully she can channel the resulting frustration into her new acting career! Aura has to decide on who to put into the warstrider's cockpit! The entire cast gets to voice an army of demons; total chaos ensues! The Wyld Hunt strikes! For their first strategem, they send an artillery warstrider and a gigantic army of birds! Trained in the art of war! With fantasy guns! Also a behemoth! And this is just the FIRST wave! Good thing our heroes have their own warstrider ready, because an anti-army weapon paired with all of the above spells serious danger for the Ashen Ones and their allies!

Aura proves that she isn't just a chosen of the Unconquered Sun: she's also quite the skilled mech pilot! You could almost call her a Lance-sorry, wrong game system! After the Circle successfully repelled the Wyld Hunt's opening salvo of a giant robot, the gang learns that their mecha was the LEAST menacing part of the Prasadi forces! Can our heroes avoid repeating the bloodbath that happened the last time a Wyld Hunt this big marched out? Or have they finally met their multiple higher-Essence matches in this war for survival?

Act 3 Episode 23: A Liminal Space Between Kaiju Rock and a Hard Place

The Wyld Hunt's latest strike is a surprise elemental hyperweapon out of nowhere! To prevent it from obliterating the Maw of Cecelyne, the Circle must duel Red Hand Rebirth, as well as find out how exactly Prasad made an entire attack iceberg in about an hour. Lythander faces his semi-daughter in solo combat and discovers just how powerful the oldest Liminal in Creation is. But can either of them overcome the greatest curse of all to eke out a victory: bad dice rolls?

Lythander breaks out his greatest stratagems yet: trying to prank (and thus face-steal) people who refuse to engage with his terrible bits! Gavel, to her chagrin, begins to cast warriors in Novari's rom-com play, and dives headfirst into another iceberg-this one made of intrigue and drama instead of ice and Essence! Aura runs headlong into Joktan's background schemes and has to prevent a second, more secretive superweapon from going off while being pelted with Second Circle Sorcery spells the whole time! The Wyld Hunt engages the Anathema in debate, and possibly some hidden assassination attempts to cut the war short! But, is everyone really after our heroes first and foremost? Or are ulterior motives at play, and for who?

Act 3 Episode 24: A Miscommunication of Malfean Proportions

With a few key victories already under their belt, the Circle enacts a clever scheme to expose Gnosis's trickery and (hopefully) end this war without further demon-attracting bloodshed. Surprisingly enough, however, the army of religious fanatics won't back down easily, and Joktan has horrifying backup plans in the wings to ensure she can still draw the war out for her win condition. Also, the April Fools day interlude was canon after all-now there's also Spider ('s comatose body) to deal with.

Lythander puts some valuable time aside to tend to his mushroom garden; in doing so, he almost gets everyone killed before the Wyld Hunt can do it! Gavel gets into a heated discussion with Exe on what to do with Spider, and somehow the joke episode edgelord robotman becomes the most reasonable member of the cast! Aura makes a big press conference to the Wyld Hunt to explain the Third Circle Demon thing, only for Joktan to hit her with horrifying countermeasures! But, in doing so, perhaps her mask will slip and reveal just how evil she and her actual endgoals are! And speaking of Gnosis, he might have an ace in the hole too!

Act 3 Episode 25: The Infernal Debate Club Calibration Invitational

With the Wyld Hunt successfully on to Joktan's scheme to summon and assassinate Iolda, their "captured" Infernal decides now is a good time to drop the act and harvest as much blood for the summoning ritual as possible. The Circle debates on whether or not they should help the people trying to kill them in service of stopping a much greater evil. And, for that matter, how to stop him. Gnosis has a lot of backup plans, it turns out!

Aura duels her greatest opponent yet: someone as equally skilled on the battlefield as they are with wordplay! Let's see if she can disarm both of Gnosis's skillsets at the same time-it may be the only way to stop the conflict in any way approaching a peaceful resolution! Lythander learns why making an Abyssal your friend is possibly more dangerous than being their enemy, and almost gets the entire party (and the surrounding countryside) killed! Gavel has a very frustrating conversation with one of her bosses and runs afoul of the law! Exe is still around, somehow, and faces the most dangerous trial this entire story so far: being Spider's babysitter! General Malik has to prioritize which Anathema to go after first, and whether or not that list includes that Sidereal trying to order him around constantly! And speaking of Joktan, she might still have an ace-in-the-hole amidst all this nonsense!

Act 3 Episode 26: The Luncheon Battle for the Fate of Creation

Despite the crew's best efforts, Joktan managed to use her final contingency to drag Iolda, Third Circle Demon, and the Second Soul of She Who Lives In Her Name into Creation. Well, at least the Wyld Hunt called that ceasefire after all! With only the Eclipse truce field keeping the demon prince at bay, it's up to nearly a dozen Chosen to work together to fend off Iolda's horrifying powers and send him back to Malfeas before the entire Dreaming Sea explodes.

Lythander struggles with swallowing his pride and preference for violent solutions, and Gnosis egging him on constantly to cause a TPK definitely doesn't help! Aura puts her silver tongue to the ultimate test in verbal sparring with Iolda, and also with herding all these cats batting at the ultimate powder keg collection! Gavel confronts Malik and prepares the Ashen Ones for Novari's grand romcom performance: only a Bollywood dance number could possibly win this war bloodlessly! Someone finally asks Sky Sundering Shadow about her grand plan to remake the world: turns out it might have a few big, planet-shattering problems with it! The consequences of Spider breaking his grand oath to Aura begin to manifest, as his martial arts duel with the Shepherd goes wildly off the rails! The finale of Act 3 is now, and it's a wild ride indeed!

Act 4 Episode 1: Permit to Wyld Hunt with Weather Warfare

With Iolda sent packing back to Malfeas, the Wyld Hunt immediately resumes trying to kill the Circle and their allies as soon as they can. And the Dragonblooded host of Prasad are finally taking to the field to do the job themselves! Naturally, this only sort of looks like normal warfare, when you have bound elementals, magical naval superweapons, and a First Age suit of powered armor on your side. It might be too much for Gavel, Lythander, and Nue's protective wards on their behemoth island to take. Can they hold the line with their own strength? Or will the Wyld Hunt manage to take these Anathema down?

Aura makes a new animal friend and goes for a nice, relaxing swim! Lythander cuts yet another dramatic speech short and fights to save his mushroom children from a horrifying Wood Essence-powered weapon of war ! Gavel gives all the Ashen Ones a supernatural upgrade, finally exchanges blows with General Malik, and falls down a big hole! Spider actually manages to land one of his Albicant Sepulcher of Extinction attacks, and to incredibly useful (and scary) effect! Nue fights a raincloud! Malik proves why sufficiently powerful Dragonblooded are threats to even the Celestial Exalted! And Joktan is still maneuvering in the background to pull out yet another beatstick to menace the crew, way from the top of the Terrestrial Bureaucracy!

Act 4 Episode 2: How I Learned to Stop Worrying & Love Lesser Elemental Dragons

While our Circle prevailed against the Wyld Hunt's recent offensive, the victory was a costly one, and Joktan aims to strike before our heroes have time to recover to flip the table on the Ashen Ones. Namely, by clashing the Gaol's time-bending magics with her own Emerald Gyre of Aeons style, and cashing in a favor from the Directional Censor of the Dreaming Sea. Even with Aura's sealed oath compelling the Sidereal to the meeting table, she is far from done trying to sabotage present and future ventures, and this lesser elemental dragon is throwing a wrench into things too. Can the Circle repel another frighteningly powerful spirit to focus back on the Wyld Hunt? Or perhaps even...actually negotiate as planned?

Lythander begins to further tweak his mushrooms for offensive (and civil) purposes, and finally gets some use out of the dozen or so curse-shape familiars he's gathered over the course of the story! Aura receives another reminder of just how much damage the El Dorado project her First Age self caused, and plays tower defense with Jeffery against the Iselsi's iceberg maker onslaught! Gavel finally realizes her plan to raze Yu-Shan indiscriminately might in fact be a bad thing and has to find a way through a disturbing geass to safeguard Novari's minimum casualties rom-com plan! Spider continues to be a bad influence on everyone, but that might be an advantage after he deleted one of Malik's key Intimacies! And regardless of how many hat tricks Joktan has, that number can't be infinite! If the Circle keeps foiling her, she will have to take things into her own hands...soon!

Act 4 Episode 3: Sign of the Mushroom, in Sidereal Retrograde

Joktan finally takes to the field of battle herself. She already caused a complete party wipe in the First Age: can the Circle prevent a similar TPK in the Age of Sorrows? It definitely won't be easy fighting an elder Celestial Exalt with two different Sidereal Martial Arts styles and Second Circle Sorcery at her disposal, and that's without counting the Wyld Hunt detachment she has as an honor guard! But there's still a chance! Our heroes can still prevail-they'll just have to break fate to do so! Title pun intended!

Aura's frustration with Joktan countering her every move reaches a boiling point, both in debate and in battle! Gavel faces her own (figurative) mortality, and begins making plans for her staged death and a possible real death! Lythander struggles to defend the honor of his mushroom summons, and discovers something shocking as his and Aulong's mushroomfolk project reaches its final stage! Spider learns just what kind of nonsense Sidereal Martial Arts can do and has to get creative to break out of a very nasty spell! Nue demonstrates why Lunars are the Sidereal establishment's greatest enemies and suffers from some seriously swingy dice rolls! And Geresvin has a favor to ask even as he's commanded to fight the Circle: it seems that a certain old enemy is causing new problems for everyone in Hell!

Act 4 Episode 4: Wyld Hunt, Wylder Magics, Wyldest Duels

One way or another, the Wyld Hunt ends this episode. Prasad's forces launch their ultimate invasion on the Maw of Cecelyne. With the Circle only barely recovered from their costly victory over Joktan, and the Ashen Ones worn down by Malik's siege and prior injuries in battle, the Dragonblooded host might just be able to defeat our heroes. Especially with the final ace-in-the-hole they have up their sleeve. Or, rather, in their fleet.

Can Aura keep protecting everyone and stop the oncoming massacre, especially given Orphis Shineback comes back and gets that Righteous Devil Stylist faceoff with her? Lythander squares off against Giatsu: which of his player's characters will come out on top? Gavel had a rematch with Malik: with both of them weary from wounds and Intimacy-destroying magics respectively, which of them will still be alive when the dust settles? Will Spider finally stop being turned into a joke by terrible dice rolls, and actually get to show why Dusk Caste Abyssals are horrifying threats in warfare? What is Sky Sundering Shadow's secret weapon, and is the creation of Third Circle Necromancy more trouble than it's worth? And finally, what stake does Malfeas and the Yozi have in all this, given how their agents seem to be all over this war? All of these questions (except maybe that last one, for now) will be answered...now!

Act 4 Episode 5: Umbral Shadows Cast Over The Palanquin Road Trip

The Circle did it! They beat the Wyld Hunt! Now to deal with the aftermath of having to finish Novari's play and end things off without having to execute anyone! That is, if they can stop Novari from getting executed first! Also, they still have to trick Heaven into thinking Gavel died in the final battle for this all to work! But, assuming all that works out, the gang can finally rest! Maybe! If their own allies don't end up ruining all their hard work in an attempt to "help" settle matters!

Aura helps Nue come to terms with her rocky history with Ysyr, and confronts Amir on his tendencies to go way, way too far with solving whatever he deems as "problems!" Lythander rolls a, quite frankly, SILLY amount of successes in Novari's grand finale, and realizes that Spider might be just as dangerous when he's trying to help the Circle as when he opposes them! Gavel learns of new developments in Malfeas that disturb even the Yozi themselves, and gets a sweet new sorbiquet! Orphis Shineback releases his plantext apology on social media, and finally spells out what The Greatest Threat Creation Has Ever Known is that we're always talking about in the intro! Coming up soon on the horizon: HellCon, and the grand city of Palanquin!

Act 4 Episode 6: Sticks and Stones Shall Break Brass Bones

Something is very wrong in Hell. The Umbral who appeared there is twisting the foremost souls of the Yozi against each other, inserting the worst elements of humanity and physical needs into the architects of Creation itself. Even imprisoned as they are, this sinister social engineering has...ripples...elsewhere, and it's up to our heroes to stop them! First, they need to find out what just happened to Palanquin and its entire population: unfortunately, other schemes were in motion while they were fighting the Wyld Hunt!

Lythander learns some unpleasant truths about Red Hand Rebirth's love life, and gets dragged back into Silver Pact politics against his will! Aura befriends some heartwarming street urchins to dubious moral effect, and finds that hidden gateway to Malfeas in the most undignified place possible! Gavel is invited to one of Hell's most popular sports brackets and realizes just how dangerous the Umbral and their hidden allies are! Nue finally gets started on fixing the mistakes made in her past life and helps defuse a situation that players made unnecessarily tense for no reason! Hundred Venoms Stinger reveals his actual motivations, and puts a name and scope to the Greatest Threat Creation Has Ever Known! But before we deal with that, we have to smash up some wizards! Thaaaaaat's Exalted!

Act 4 Episode 7: Solar Shade Over Umbral Rage

The Circle prepares to march on the Ouroboros's pocket dimension underneath Palanquin, in hopes of freeing everyone trapped in their nightmare shadow realm. But even if getting there is simple, another curveball lies in waiting. Another Solar crosses paths with our party, and unlike Amir, this one may prove to not be as friendly. Well, as "friendly" as Amir gets, anyways. Point is, this one's allied with Ouroborus and Hundred Venoms Stinger, so they're not a friend for sure! Also, there's still the problem of unsealing the locked gateway to Malfeas to get to HellCon in time!

Gavel gets hit with a tragic vision of the future, and struggles to reconcile her rosy view of her bosses with the mounting realization of how much Hell sucks to live in! Lythander gets radicalized by a magical flyer and has to taste his own trickster medicine when Spider and Dolam start pressing his buttons! Aura climbs a moving mountain, kills an evil wizard, and has a weird ranged martial arts duel with a singing jade demon lion! But, weirdest of all, her greatest challenge this episode: having to comfort a friend in need during a stress-induced nervous breakdown! Tepet Etep's Creation-wide capers reach the party, and other forces of Malfeas begin to breach their prison to wreak havoc in our heroes' path! And, to think, all of this is just the pre-game before the actual conference starts! Across Cecelyne, a mere five days away, HellCon awaits...

Act 4 Episode 8: The Infernal Five-Day Commute to HellCon's a Killer!

To check off all the many, many bullet points on their to-do list, the Circle and the Ashen Ones venture into Cecelyne, ready to endure a hellish five day trek to get to...well, Hell. And while the endless desert lives up to its nightmarish reputation, the dangers of the City of Brass itself may prove even more daunting. Especially when the narrator made the mistake of letting the players draw the area map again! Lythander has to figure out how to cram an entire behemoth into the Gaol, and realizes that Spider's ties to the forces of death are far more insidious than he ever imagined! Aura discovers an unfortunate truth at the site of her first Malfeas restaurant, and has to work overtime to dispel enemy propaganda! Gavel comes up against jurisdictional friction of Hell's laws in helping a runaway sorcerer, and finds her new neighbors to be...quite the odd characters, indeed! Infernals turn out to be far from the only attendees to HellCon: many more members of the Exalted Host gather, in anticipation of whatever emerges from the moot...Also, Hell's layout is weird! And in other news, grass is green! So is the sky here, too!

Act 4 Episode 9: Fear and Loathing in Little Blessed Isle

As the Circle and the Ashen Ones settle into their Malfeas...vacation? Sojurn? Layover? Whatever you want to call it, the City of Brass has no shortage of attractions and public events. As both the Infernals congregating around Hell and frequent Exalted visitors of other patrons from across Creation gather, our heroes scramble to make sense the megacity's chaos and further their own plans.

Lythander gets his first peer review on the mushroomfolk project and gets a second secret performance review from an infamous Lunar elder! Aura almost loses her priceless Artifacts on the dance floor and discovers the hellish secret of the competitor restaurant trying to drive her out of business! Gavel meets her wacky new neighbors, and almost has a heart attack at Mnemon Rulensai's gala from all the incredibly dangerous intrigue there! Spider has to make his toughest test of martial skill yet: having patience in trying to avoid fistfighting anyone who looks at him funny! And, several streets over, Adrian and Ouroboros make clear their plans to take Iolda out of the equation. Permanently. Regardless of collateral damage or not. Act 4 Episode 10: Restaurant Week in Malfeas: FT Celebrity Guest Raksi

Is it "out of the fire, into the frying pan?" when you're already in Hell? Regardless, the Circle still is in a rough place even after escaping Mnemon Runelsai's deadly gala. Now that Raksi has made herself and her current evil scheme apparent, the gang splits up to look into what all the other evil schemes are surrounding the Infernal All-thing. All of them are bad, honestly, it's a matter of degrees and collateral damage.

Aura speaks to Adrian, Solar to Solar, and discovers just how deep his plans go to commit Yozicide! Again! Gavel had to decide between obeying the wishes of the Yozi and opposing one of the Unquestionables to actually help the demonic masses like she's always wanted! Lythander finally is outclassed in pure gremlin energy and, for once, has to be the reasonable one in the room! Spider almost gets everyone killed when he does too well at a test of strength! Sky Sundering Shadow reminds everyone why she's an incredibly dangerous opponent and not just a fun side character playing both sides in warfare! And the whole gang bothers Iolda some more before their fight in the Ruvelian Memorial Football Tournament's halftime show!

In the windup before the Ruvelia Memorial Football Cup's opening games, the Circle learns the peculiarities of Malfean sports law. And of the ball itself. And their competitors. Look, no one expected a soccer game in Hell to be normal, now did they? In any case, the backroom strategies for both the games themselves and the world-shaking magical plots everyone is secretly working on start to mingle together, and it's up to our heroes to start unravelling all this before something critical in Creation's infrastructure breaks too badly.

Gavel has to deal with the football having a mind and will of its own, alongside another Third Circle Demon's dubious offer of help to further her own ends! Aura has to call an old enemy (now in a new form of existence) to help even the odds against the information and martial deficits the Circle is at! Lythander works tenuously alongside Raksi to scope out Orabilis's library, and has to scramble to stop Sky Sundering Shadow from doing something incredibly ill advised! And beyond all this, Hellcon comes ever closer!

Act 4 Episode 12: Moonrise Over the Fiery Football Skyline

Our Circle faces off against the rival Circle of Adrian Wheel-Turner, the Ouroborous, and Hundred Venoms Stinger...in a football match! With the Ashen Ones squaring off against a Solar conjured clone army, and numerous counters to our heroes' most fearsome magics in play, it won't be an easy victory. Both in scoring the most goals, and also stopping whatever their real plan is that they're covering for with sports as an excuse.

Lythander and Raksi case the joint to prepare for their heist on Orabilis's library. In doing so, they find wonders unknown to Creation, and encounter a horrifying magic that shaped the very skies of Hell itself. Aura has her first brush with the Great Curse and has to struggle with the moral implications of fighting someone with a tragic backstory they may have unwittingly caused. Gavel faces off with Adrian, a master of martial arts that rip open creatures of darkness like herself, and also has an excuse of his hatred of the Yozi on her right this second. Spider...actually has a moral backbone for once! And, surprisingly, both he and Nue know ball!

Act 4 Episode 13: Birth of Soccer's Sorrow

Sky Sundering Shadow. The Abyssal Exalted who's had an uneasy truce with the Circle since day one. Now she finally confronts our heroes directly. And, even if it's an allegedly friendly match of football between their teams, she can still bring Void Circle Necromancy to bear. When your tools are magic that powerful, well, collateral damage and risk of severe harm and death are part and parcel. And that's not even going into Lythander doing the actual heist on Orabilis's library today too. Aura finally finds someone too powerful to take on with her usual tactics in Sky, and struggles to keep up with her necromantic prowess and her secret weapon: Spider, who was never really on anyone but Lythanders' side anyways. Gavel has her loyalty to her friends and the Ashen Ones trust in everyone put to the test: will their very souls be left unchanged? Nue has to make a key decision on sticking with everyone else or taking a new life in Malfeas to avoid the mistakes of the First Age forever dogging her. And Lythander makes a disturbing discovery deep in Orabilis's vaults on his quest to destroy soulsteel. One that will send him to yet another peril, yet perhaps may still prove...interesting.

Act 4 Episode 14: Please Drink Yozi Corpse Water Responsibly

Lythander's long quest to free souls trapped within soulsteel. The enigma that is Ouroborous and their true goals in sowing chaos in Hell. Aura and Nue's preparations into their grand journey back to El Dorado. Tepet Etep's schemes and his theft of the peaches of immortality. The demon our heroes were pointed to in Orabilis's library has answers to all of these questions. But to make any headway, our Circle must confront their deaths. Of the past, of the possible future, of narrowly avoided brushes with the end, and of poor life decisions at the Body Upon the Water's Edge's lakefront property.

Gavel learns some highly uncomfortable things about the Infernal All-Thing: the most dangerous thing in Malfeas might just be her fellow con-goers! Aura learns a cool new trick and gets very stressed out with all of these dozens of nightmare quests going on at once! Lythander makes some...brave (?) decisions and finds that crucial information on anti-soulsteel forging that Gnosis tried to deny him last time! Nue pushes against her own insecurities and faces her past fears to help her Circle, and also makes some brave (?) calls too! Dark-Eyed Stargazer confronts his own mortality and starts making some plans for the (far) future! And we finally find out the depths of Wuxia Wario's schemes, and how he may be the spark that lights Ouroborous's firedust keg to explode all of Hell! By accident!

The Ouroborous makes their move tonight. With Dokuzan's intel, the Circle finds their hiding place in the most perilous place possible. Perilous to themeslves? Perilous to Oruborous and Adrian? Perilous to all of Malfeas and all its denizens? Yes, to all of the above! Their master plan to force every demon in existence to share in the suffering of mortality nears its turning point. Can out heroes save Malfeas (and by proxy Creation) from the brink of interplanar war?

In doing this, Lythander makes a critical mistake, putting the fabric of reality at risk for one of his trademark funny japes! Gavel has the first major sign of strain with her immortal benefactors in how obstinate they are in the face of mortal peril! Aura has to make some big decisions on how to start fixing her past and present mistakes! Nue has to wrestle a Magma Kraken in a highly unusual hold! Adrian has to decide between his grand plans on fixing Malfeas and everyone that would imperil along the way, including his most cherished friends! And just what power is the Ouroborous hiding under their hood?!

It is finally time for our heroes to take him on personally, in a duel with all of Hell watching closely. Will this world-shaping demagogue be the one to triumph in his crusade of eradicating free will? Or will the Circle be able to pull off what even the Exalted of old could not, and bring him low? In our longest episode yet, we'll see which way the wind blows. One way or the other.

Lythander's patience continues to be tested by his mercurial Solar partner, and he has to adapt when Iolda's sheer power renders amost his entire toolkit compromised. Aura ruminates on a project whose very scope could reshape all reality itself, in the aid of helping those crushed underfoot as Ouroborous was. Gavel finds herself outmatched, and suffers a gruesome injury-can she push past it to save her people? And, beyond all of this, what lies ahead even if our heroes DO win? There's only one way to find out!
