When Cerulean finally gets her greatest wish -- to have a pet -- her father takes her to McSorely's Pet Store and she chooses a mysterious egg. What hatches is Scruff, a strange creature with the body of a dog, great big wings, and a loooooong tail. Tiny enough to fit in Cerulean's palm, she instantly falls in love. However, she is not the only one interested in the new creature. A man in a dark coat seems intent on taking Scruff away...
