Our heroes have two weeks till Halloween when the ritual to release Crom Cruach will be attempted by his followers. During this time they must prepare with Selena creating spell tokens with her goblin artificer lover Miggles, Itai creating healing tinctures, Bronwyn working with the army on tactics and Nyafua rewritting their book of shadows to create a new list of spells in preparation for the battle.
As well as this Selena gets a message that a terribly powerful device she commisioned is ready for collection and Olaf gets a message that Selena may intend to sacrifice herself during the battle.

Fey Earth Episode 88 Recovering from another attack

The party heals from the attack on Ardbraccan House. They also must plan what to do. The ritual to release Crom Cruach is to occur on Halloween which is not for two more weeks. So there is much our heroes can do as they prepare for this final battle.

Fey Earth Episode 87 Attack at Ardbraccan House

Having recovered from the battle at Tara where Bronwyn had both her legs crippled by maiming curses the party is now prepare for an eminent attack on them at their home of Ardbraccan House. Their enemies are trying to find the last idol of Crom Cruach. They have searched the treasury at Tara, the army headquarters and the druids headquarters to no avail. So the only logical place left is our heroes. With a group of battle mages from the Ravens Watch as well as riflemen, and some new grenades and landmines fitted with iron that Nyafua helped the army engineers design hopefully our heroes will be able to win this next fight.

The party is gifted a set of powerful magical stones which will hopefully protect them from enchantments and curses which affect the mind. However with these items come a level of emotional openness our heroes are going to have difficulty with. The party learn a terrible piece of news regarding attacks by their enemies on fey mounds. Olaf also tells Peadar about a certain new magical portal to the fey realm he was responsible for the creation of. A portal which the druids were never told of and which the elves have not been guarding. Hopefully this has not allowed their enemies to increase their numbers in Ireland. Nyafua and Simba inadvertently find themselves in a war council meeting with high ranking officers of the Irish army, the Grand High Druid and the High Queen herself. Learning of the militaries progress they all discuss what their enemies next course of action will be and how best to prepare. Hopefully the new weapons Nyafua has been working on with the army can be finalised and will be of use. Also hopefully Bronwyn will be healed of her curse and have her legs restored soon

After the previous nights fight against the ancient elf the party tries to plan their next course of action. They have the last remaining idol and while their enemies do not need it to carry out their ritual, Crom Cruach will not be as strong if he is released without all the idols present. The party feels that this might give them an advantage to set a trap from their enemies but they must plan how best to do this. Hopefully their allies in Dublin will be able to help them plan out best to set a trap and ambush their enemies.

They did not make this terrible weapon, rather it was made by an old enemy of the party who they defeated. But after her death the army confiscated the weapon for safe keeping. While they are having these discussions Olaf is trying to find information on these groups of people who appear to have started following Crom Cruachs disciples. Will he be able to find out anything that will help the party?

Nyafua just returned from the Fey Realm, having been briefly caught in its strange magical time effects, finds herself over standing over the bodies of her fallen friends. Banja, Tonaka and Hondo, friends, warriors and family, that had travelled with Nyafua from their home of Zimbabwe to aid in the fight against Crom Cruach's followers, now dead at the hands of those same followers. Surrounded by her friends, this support will help Nyafua but she is still filled with sorrow at this revelation.

How with our heroes fare against them, especially without two of their own, Nyafua and Bronwyn, who has still not emerged from the Fey Realm.

The party is still missing some of their members who have not yet emerged from the portal to the Fey Realm. But time and evil waits for no man and their druid ally Peadar is transporting them to the Irish army headquarters at the Curragh military base approximately 45 km south west of Dublin. They do not know what forces they will be facing but they do know the Killycluggin stone, an ancient stone that is believed to be the altar stone used by Crom Cruach's followers is being stored their and that Daithí Mac an t-Saoir, the member of the League of Cunning they found to be in possession of the book that contained rituals to summon Crom Cruach is also being held there too. They assume that the stone and Mac an t-Saoir are the reason for the attack.

After that if successful they can return to the mortal realm but they are also concerned that they may not all return safely as some of the party left the protective aura of their druid ally Peadar during their travels in the Fey Realm.

Having come this far they are now so close to successfully completing this quest and are so very close to being able to return home to Ireland to stop their enemies.

In front of them is the base of a vast mountain range they know they must climb to find the court of the Fey lord who is said to own the Dagda's cauldron, the magical artefact they are in the Fey Realm looking for. However they must rest as they have been told these mountains are filled with dangerous and powerful creatures.

The party having left the enchanted forest they had been travelling through have found themselves in a great, majestic meadow. With tall grass and wildflowers it seems to stretch to the horizon. In this field they have found a trio of strange women wearing fine ballgowns that might have been seen in paintings of royalty from over a century ago enjoying some afternoon tea. Who are these women? Can they be trusted and will they help the party?

The party having fought off a group of grindylow as they were crossing a river continued their travel through the forest they are in. Their journey had been relatively safe until they reached a glade where they say, seeming to be asleep, a great dragon, it's head coming out of a pond of water and resting on the grass. No one has seen a dragon in over 400 years so there is no way of knowing what this mighty beast will be like. Will they be able to find a different path to their destination or will they need to try to sneak past this legendary creature?

The party finds themselves in the middle of a battle against some Grindylow, river hags that like to pull their prey under the water to devour them. As dangerous as this would be normally, it is even more dangerous as their druid ally Peadar was pulled downstream and the party are no longer within his magical aura and protected from the magics of the fey realm. Hopefully they will be able to save themselves and be better prepared for whatever challenge they face next.

While resting in their travels through a mighty forest in the fey realm the party suddenly heard the sound of music and dancing. This is of great concern as the party has previously had run ins with fey involved in such activities. There are in fact many tales of people who came upon the fey dancing and became swept away by their magical music. Will the party be able to resist these melodies so they can continue on in their journey and whatever further dangers await them???

But our heroes have been told that they can find the Dagda's Cauldron there, a magical artefact from ancient Irish myth said to be able to feed an army and restore an exhausted warrior to full strength. Something which would be of great aid in their battle against Crom Cruach and his followers

The party recovers after an exhausting exploration of a fey mound where they found an enchanted ring said to be set with a sling shot stone owned by an ancient Irish God. Their friend Nyafua returns from their journey to Zimbabwean with some new allies to help them in their fight. The party also learns what is the exact nature of the enchantment on the ring and the other items they found in the elven fey mound and they talk to their druid friend Peadar in preparation for the next leg of their current travels, to the Fey Realm itself.

Once the home of an elven hermit who was said to possess a stone set with a slingshot owned by the ancient Irish God Lugh Lambfada. While the party be successful in their quest and retrieve this magical artefact to help them in their battle against the followers of Crom Cruach?

The party travels to another fey site in Cavan in search of an enchanted ring that was owned by an ancient hermit elf and is said to be set with a stone that was a sling shot owned by the ancient Irish god Lugh Lamhfada. The past number of such excursions into fey sites have resulted in great treasures but been extremely deadly. Hopefully this time will be better.

Having been successful in retrieving the Wand of Figol from the tomb of the ancient druid the party returns to Ardbraccan House to recover. The next day they will travel to Dublin so they can get their artificer friend Trygve to exam the wand and tell them of its properties. After this they must prepare to travel to the next site in the hopes of retrieving an enchanted ring said to be set with a stone that was said to be a slingshot belonging to the ancient Irish god Lugh Lamhfada.

The party had travelled north to the supposed tomb of an ancient druid said to have once owned a powerful wand. They have found the site of the druids grave but it was not a normal tomb. Rather it seemed far more like the various fey sites that they have visited in the past. Having ventured to the centre they found the skeletons of what they assumed were other adventurers who had attempted to retrieve the wand as well as the skeleton of the druid on a raised stone dais. However when they approached spectres arose from the skeletons in the chamber and a battle is about to ensue.

They hope to find the tomb of an ancient druid that was said to possess a magical wand of great power. The party sees evidence that Bronwyn is being scryed upon, now that her baby blanket has been stolen. They must change their plans accordingly and consider ways they might use this against their enemies. While Nyafua researches some new spells for her book of shadows the rest of the party travels to Dublin to meet with their dwarven artificer friend Trygve to restock some items as well as meeting with their druid ally Peadar to plan their next steps.

Having returned from their encounter at Skellig Michael the party discovered that Bronwyn's baby blanket was taken. This highly personal item can be used to cast certain spells such as scrying and also teleporting directly to Bronwyn. With this development the party must now completely rethink their tactics as they try to stop the followers of Crom Cruach, but also their immediate safety. Was this action by their enemies a prelude to an attack or simply an information gathering exercise? Changes must be made at Ardbraccan House and the party will have to be a lot more careful now as a result of this.

The party travels to Cork to meet with their friend and the lover of Selena, the goblin artificer Miggles. From their they must travel further south to the island of Skellig Michael. The site of an abandoned monastery believed to have been built in the 8th or 9th century the party wish to visit it because according to the records of the elves of the western isles it is the location of the golden idol of Crom Cruach and will be vital for their enemies to complete their ritual to free him from his chains in the Fey Realm.

The party have discovered the location of an ancient tome they have been looking for. This book, written by a cult of Crom Cruach appears to give details on possible rituals to summon him and free him from his prison. It had once belong to an old enemy of their but had disappeared when the party defeated her. It seems it had fallen into the hands of a member of the civil service the party had meet numerous times who is also a member of the league of cunning folk, a strange esoteric group of scholars and occultists the party had become friends with. It appears at least one member of this group may have been working with their enemies and may be part of the group trying to free Crom Cruach. The party must now decide what to do and how quickly to act against this new threat.

The party are trying to track down the location of an ancient book that was written by a pseudo Christian cult of Crom Cruach in the middle ages. They have several avenues of inquiry to pursue as all they know is it was last in the possession of a former enemy of theirs, Professor Máire Ní Suillibhán, a professor of the arcane that they fought and defeated several months ago. However they do not know where the book ended up after she died. If they can find the book it may possess secrets relating to the ritual to free Crom Cruach that will help them thwart their enemies plans.

Having been victorious in their battle against the dark fey of Crom Cruach at the summit of Lughnaquilla the party must now travel to Dublin. Here they will meet with their old friend Finn, once a member of their adventuring party. They wish to ask her about an ancient tome the party recovered previously as part of a job. This book was written by a gnostic cult who were worshiping Crom Cruach and attempted to summon him. They hope that by studying the transcription of the book Finn made they will be able determine their enemies next step or discover a way to disrupt or stop their plans.

The party has travelled to Lugnaquilla, the highest mountain of the Dublin Wicklow mountains and the site of a portal to the Fey Realm. There have been sightings of activity by the strange dark blood shades and other fey around the peak over the last few days and the druids suspect that Crom Cruachs followers are trying to create a beach head to allow more of their numbers to leave the Fey Realm. As such the party were asked by the druids to aid them in what they believe will be an upcoming battle. Bronwyn's uncle Dergant Bergsson, a frost giant from Jotunheim has agreed to come and aid in the fight. The last few times they have fought these dark fey they have not been successful. What will be the outcome of this fight?

The party learns that the house cook discovered someone raided the pantry last night and is not happy. Bronwyn and Nyafua's "medicinal herbs" induced munchies seems to have gotten them in a bit of trouble, at least for Nyafua, as the cook will not get angry with their employer. Nyafua must try to make amends. At the same time Olaf returns from Tara to inform the party of his conversations with the Jotunheim delegation, especially with Bronwyn's uncle, much to Bronwyn's alarm. Finally Selena does some investigating in Dublin of some allies she is now being to suspect may not be their friends. All while the house prepares for a visit by Lady Nic Chuilin, a dear friend of the party who has fought alongside them numerous times in the past.

After the visit by Luigseach where the party was informed of the identity of the evil force they have been fighting they spend the rest of the day in preparation for Selena attempting to heal herself of the fey curse which damaged her leg. Nyafua prepares an ointment to numb the leg when the healing begins. Selena spends some time with her clan who are now living on the grounds of Ardbraccan House and Bronwyn meets a new member of the household staff. Hopefully they will have done enough to prepare Selena so she can undo the harm that was beset upon her.

Luigseach, the most ancient elf in Ireland, a member of the elves of the western isles who live on magical islands off the west coast of Ireland has arrived at Ardbraccan House. Having spoken to the druids she is now planning on speaking to the party. The elves of the western isles have the most ancient and most comprehensive collection of records and they have been researching the stone idols which are being stolen to try to find a pattern and learn the plans of the strange, dark fey and occultists who appear to be roaming Ireland. Hopefully with whatever knowledge is shared the party will be able to stop whatever evil appears to be coming.

The party also prepares for the arrival of Luigseach, an ancient elf from the elves of the western isles who has been researching the stone idols in their archives.

The party had travelled to Tara for the royal banquet with the trade delegation from the frozen Fey nation of Jotunheim. While there they had a chance to talk to the Grand High Druid, delight in Olaf being embarrassed by his mother who had travelled with the delegation to see her "little rock gnome" and then Bronwyn found herself talking to her uncle Dergant. A frost giant she has hated for a long time, she was shocked by his change in demeanor from the arrogant, hateful man she meet in Jotunheim as well as being told the beautiful necklace which her personal maid said had been delivered to her house actually belonged to her frost giant mother and was a family heirloom passed down through the women of her biological family. But before they could continue the conversation the party noticed royal guards being to enter the throne room and heard the sounds of gunfire from the corridors outside.

They have been sent by the druids to warn the fey there of the recent attacks at other sites. The druids have no reason to believe this site will be attacked but it is a large site near our party.
