05. Monkey

Thu, 10 Jun 2021 12:00:00 -0400

On the edge of town, camping in the woods near a freeway onramp, a man, stripped of everything, is confronted by his son over a long-forgotten promise.

Monkey was originally produced in Los Angeles at Moving Arts Theatre Company.  Max Franko co-produced with 99 Seats in Your Skull.   Fun fact:  Almost everything in this audio drama is based on / inspired by, real stuff.  My uncle was homeless by choice for a long time.  My great uncle gave me a fossilized mud crack for my birthday.  My dad promised to buy me a monkey but didn't.     This was all recorded online during the pandemic so if you notice some inconsistent vocals -- hey, sometimes that's just the way it goes.   Thanks for listening.
