Now, Don't Get Upset is a short story about a mother-daughter relationship that sifts through all the layers, hurdles, lessons, baggage, humor, grief, and love within. From the growing pains in childhood to reversing roles in care-taking, this show takes a humorous, yet heartfelt stroll down one particular memory lane. Inspired by Dylan Thomas’ "Under Milk Wood," "The Forever Wave" is a futuristic radio play set in a drowned San Francisco, circa 2070. What communities will emerge in a future where our systems have collapsed and “normal” is a historical relic? Brought to auditory life by a multicultural, multigenerational, and multilingual cast of 12, “The Forever Wave” is a study in resilience, resourcefulness, and community. "If you survive the apocalypse, don’t you get to help build what comes after it?"

Incident in the Lighthouse by 63audio / Narada Radio Company
Tue, 20 May 2025 00:00:00 -0400
Created by Pete Lutz from a one-paragraph thumbnail sketch of a famous Grand-Guignol play (now in the public domain), it's the story of a young, naïve lighthouse-keeper, whose brother, a sailor, and far more worldly, brings by two women of ill repute to help him celebrate a local festival. What starts out as saucy fun soon turns to disaster, as the young man finds himself unable to access the beacon...and a storm is approaching. Adult themes, language, graphic violence.

Tue, 20 May 2025 00:00:00 -0400
Dr. Jamie Houseman is investigating a mysterious atomic event that occurred seventy-three years ago, when scientists and Hollywood producers came together in a daring experiment to transform characters in a radio show's last episode, live on air, into their most irreducible, atomic personae of what will be a beloved American TV comedy. But what happened when the machine began to leak? What does it mean for us? And what does Jamie's neighbor, somehow, impossibly, remember?

Howl by Ylem Media / Allison Cossitt
Tue, 20 May 2025 00:00:00 -0400
Howl is a dark, atmospheric fairytale that is dedicated to everyone who has ever had their voices silenced. I wanted to create a piece about the importance of speaking out and using our voices to defend ourselves and those we love. Howl was born of the raw emotions of fear, grief and mourning, but ultimately is a message of strength and hope. This is a story for everyone who has ever had their voice silenced. For everyone who has ever been made to feel lesser. For everyone who has ever felt caged and alone. Find your voice. HOWL.

Rocking out with... . Hebert Hoover? BELIEVE IT. By Pat Strait
There aren’t enough great writers challenging the way we consume content and staying true to the idea that audio is one of the greatest art forms we’ve got. A concept album, which immerses the listener in Americana, that drives you to listen to an audio drama, which transports you to a different era, is something that very few people could dream up, let alone execute on to this level.
What Will Anderson has created here is a seriously cool way to reignite our imaginations.

This is your brain on art! Chris Smith’s “Mine for the Tribe” is a one person show that recognizes the ups and downs of the artistic temperament. Personal stories about the artist journey and wisdom from some books lead to a realization about the fate and hope for artists. Playing multiple characters, Chris jumps through his history as an artist bookworm and, well, grows up at 43. Directed by Atim Udoffia, this show is funny, tragic and hopeful enough to call it a very entertaining sermon.

Dishonour on Your Cow by Sans So So / Silvi Santoso
Tue, 20 May 2025 00:00:00 -0400
Dishonour on Your Cow is a story-telling with comedic twists about the struggles in keeping up with other's expectations while making sense of the world, despite the childhood traumas and facing fear of abandonment heads on. People silence her and make her watch from the sidelines as she desperately tries to pick up the pieces. Funny, dark, emotional, and true; a journey to self acceptance, recovery, and the discovery that the most fulfilling life she can lead is by her own merit, not set by others who try to curate it. She tells stories, jokes, and sings.
This podcast contains discussions of sexual assault and rape, which may be distressing or triggering for some listeners. Please take care of your well-being and feel free to skip this episode or take breaks as needed. Your mental health matters. Listener discretion is advised.

Madison on the Air by Big Pink Dolphin Productions, Chrisi Talyn Saje
Tue, 20 May 2025 00:00:00 -0400
"Madison on the Air" is a full cast, scripted comedy audio drama that follows the 20-something makeup blogger, Madison Standish, who was zapped from modern day into oldtime radio dramas (through some “freaky-deaky science-stuff”... we don’t exactly know how). With a deep love of the genre, Chrisi Talyn Saje adapts original radio drama scripts from the 1930s-1950s to include the fun-loving, mocha latte drinking, guy crazy, woke culture devotee Madison. Each episode is stand-alone featuring a different old time radio series with a wide variety of genres to choose from including detective noir, westerns, superheroes, sci-fi, horror, comedies and classic films. Madison may be partnered up with Sherlock Holmes, or Marshal Matt Dillon, stepping in as Batman’s Boy Wonder, fighting Martians, battling Dracula, or donning the ruby slippers over the rainbow. All in fun, Madison serves to highlight the way we were and the way we are today, bringing the Golden Age of Radio to modern audiences. No need to know the old time radio shows to appreciate Madison’s adventures (she doesn't know them, either). Start at the beginning, or if you see at title you like, jump in anywhere!

Rocking out with... . Hebert Hoover? BELIEVE IT. By Pat Strait
A Herbert Hoover concept album? About a Herbert Hoover audio drama? I have a few thoughts: 1) Is there any medium that CAN’T be conquered by Will “the Hoover Maniac” Anderson? 2) Why aren’t there concept albums anymore? 3) In an age where it feels like everything creative has been done before, this is totally fun, unique and really, really cool.
