The story of the Cursed Grave of Carl Pruitt is an old ghost story that's been around since right after the Great Depression. In the first episode of Right About Midnight, I tell you the story the way a good Southern Ghost Story should be told. The same way I'd tell it if you were sitting here with me on the porch drinking some sweet tea while a storm rolled in. Seems to me a lot of time the humanity of ghost stories is lost. We hear it like it's just something pearl clutching mama's tell their kids to keep them from doing bad things. The boogeyman effect. But in reality, there's a reason old Carl Pruitt's ghost wrought a terrible price on a few of the folks in Pulaski County Kentucky after he died. It's about time somebody dove a little deeper into the possible motivations of his restless spirit. Don't forget now, nobody is innocent so if you're the kind of person that thinks old Carl Pruitt's ghost was nothing but a heartless killer, then you may just want to skip this one. This is my take, my opinions, on what may have caused an otherwise normal fella to not only murder his wife, but then keep on killing folks from beyond the grave. I hope you enjoy it. Be sure to check out www.BlakAcid.com for more short stories, some fancy pants merch and some full length books if you're into weird fiction. There's gonna be a few other podcasts coming out so you can find the scoop on everything I've got going on there.
