Synopsis:
In a world where every monster born of myth and legend hides in the shadows and the power of God can be channeled through man; five individuals solve supernatural cases in the name of the Church.The Clergymen is a Radio Drama that takes place in a 20th Century fictional Europe. It follows a group of five individuals who make up the titular Clergymen. Ezra - the prophetic leader of the group - who serves as a spiritual guide and Shepherd of the Eleventh Flock of the Clergymen. Silas, Ezra’s oldest friend and confidant, serves as the father figure of the group. Silas’ keen sense of perception makes him constantly sought after for his advice and has him fill in the role of the detective. Herodias is what is known as a lamb, in that she is supposed to be sacrificed for the group. As a lamb she commits the sins for the Clergymen whenever they find they need to for the greater good of the Church. Elijah is the youngest member of the eleventh order. A pious and curious child Elijah is a conduit of God and therefore has his prayers answered quickly and literally answered by God. Finally, the last and most recent member of the group is Alister, a man who joined the group in the pursuit of revenge against the man the Clergymen follow, a being simply called the Undertaker who leaves entire cities empty in his wake. The initial story – The Immortal Woman – has little to do with the Undertaker and focuses on the small town of Durinbar where every night the Bishop who governs the town has the same woman killed for her witchcraft. Yet every night the witch walks the streets once more unscathed. In addition to This Immortal woman’s apparent death every night, each time she appears another man goes missing. Now Bishop Edmund Martin and his congregation seek out the aid of the Clergymen to help solve the mystery of the Immortal Woman.

The Immortal Woman: The Summoning of Agrat Bat Mahlat

The Clergymen arrive in the town center and comb every inch for the witch’s circle but are unable to find it as hours pass. Finally, Silas spots in, statues in the hexagonal town square have the sigil carved into them. As they make their way to destroy the statues Antionette appears in the town square her womb bleeding, marking herself as the final sacrifice. Herodias moves to pacify her but quickly Antoinette puts the woman under her control. Will Alister, Silas, and Ezra be able to stop Herodias and Antionette? Or will the witch be able to release Agrat Bat Mahlat. Find out in the series finale!

The Immortal Woman: The Truth Unmasked

The Clergymen gather and confront the Bishop over the horrors he’s promoted in Durinbar. However, as the Bishop is the only authority in Durinbar, they have to wait and appeal to a higher power, but the Bishop warns what might happen to Nadine and the victims if they take their time to deal with the church's bureaucracy. With no choice but to drop the matter, the group starts sharing the information they’ve gathered, and Alister can determine that Antionette is attempting to summon Agrat Bat Mahlat, a powerful demon known for granting power to mortals. Realizing that if Antionette sacrifices one more life, the Agrat Bat Mahlat will be released, the group moves to confront Antoinette for the final time.

After confronting the bartender, she barges in on them, catching the witch in the middle of her transformation. As Herodias watches as the man becomes a copy of Antionette, she battles the witch.

The Immortal Woman: The Shepherd's Crook

Alister joins Ezra and the two discuss the case. As Ezra reveals his prophecy to him they both agree Antionette is using some kind of shapeshifting to make the men look like her and the bishop’s eagerness to kill her to make them human sacrifices, though still they aren’t sure why. Robert comes into the church and tells the bishop his side of the attack. The bishop demands Alister’s death and is only spared due to Ezra’s involvement. The bishop angrily subsides but Robert rushes the attack.

The Immortal Woman: The Sins of the Church

Silas and Elijah, leaving Antionette Hosp in the custody of Ezra, head to Frau Beelek's house to investigate the claims that Antionette Hosp is somehow actually Jakob Beelek. When they arrive they find Jacob's wife Nadine, with recent injuries across her face. As the two investigate Nadine reveals the horrible truth in Durinbar. While consoling her, Silas and Elijah hear gunshots coming from King Fredericks, and the pair rush to investigate.

The Immortal Woman: The Buried Truth

Herodias and Alister make their way towards the graveyard in Durinbar, however on their way Robert and three constables ambush the pair trying to kill Alister. Herodias does her best to fend them off and eventually, she and Alister proceed to the graveyard with their wounds. At the graveyard, Herodias unearths the grave of Antionette Hosp to find eight corpses buried inside. Alister has Herodias investigate the bodies and find that they all have two similarities, taking the evidence found they make their way back to the church where Herodias separates to find lodging for Alister for the night.

Ezra, Silas, and Elijah arrive at the church in Durinbar with Antionette and Bishop Edmund Martin. After securing Antionette aside the three gather information from the Bishop, tensions still high the four argue back and forth about how things were handled. Eventually, Silas has enough information to start questioning Antionette. It doesn't take long before Antionette claims that she is in fact -not- Antionette Hosp and the group is left to determine the validity of her claims.

The Immortal Woman: The Stoning of Antionette Hosp

The Clergymen arrive in Durinbar just as the witch is being taken to the stake. Before they can get close enough to ask the constables to question her the crowd erupts into a mob and tries to kill the witch. After a scuffle with the people the Clergymen are able to save the witch, but a new problem arises. The bishop who rules the town wants to arrest Alister finding his knowledge of witchcraft combined with his race to be suspicious.

The Immortal Woman: The Prodigal Daughter

After leaving Fredia Schüler's apartment Herodias and Silas walk back to the Garni Lahretal to join the others. As they walk in a moment of vulnerability Herodias confesses her worry to Silas about how the others will act over her disappearance. Silas does his best to console her but soon enough they arrive outside the Garni and Elijah tells them Cardinal Angelo Busoni has sent them a telegram telling them to divert from the Undertaker momentarily to head to a small town in Austria named Durinbar to deal with a witch who seems to be immortal. They join the others at the Garni and discuss the telegram and their plan.

Having blacked out the night before, Herodias wakes up in a strange place with a strange woman. Something she's used to. Realizing she missed her train to Fryztak and will most likely be staying in Ulm for another week to catch the next one, Herodias decides to make the best of her situation. On her toes, she dances with Fredia piecing together whatever ruse she told the woman and saying whatever it takes to spend the next week drinking and having fun with her. It doesn't take long however for Silas to track her down. Doing her best to keep up her alias as the Princess Marie de Gouges of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and convince Silas to let her stay another week Herodias eventually has to make her decision; will she join the others, or head off on her own?
The Immortal Woman: The Ulm Haupbanholf

At the Ulm Haupbanholf, the train is ready to depart from the station and take the Clergymen to Fryztak to confront the Undertaker. Instead of boarding however Alister, Elijah, and Ezra wait on the footbridge for Silas and Herodias to arrive. Alister tries to convince Ezra to board anyways, and the three end up in a conversation about faith. As the conversation continues Elijah spots Silas and runs off to greet him. When Silas joins them he tells the others he couldn't find Herodias, but he found a lead and he's sure he can find her just not before the train departs. Ezra is forced to make a decision, will he leave without Herodias? Or will he let another city be devastated in the Undertaker's wake . . .
The Immortal Woman: Hushed Confesions

In a crowded bar, the tongue of one of the chroniclers of the Holy Sovereignty of the Imperial Church (HSIC) is loosened by his drink. Under the influence of his beer, he lets his guard down and is approached by a rebel wanting to know about the Eleventh flock of the Clergymen. Unwittingly he divulges the history of The Clergymen and how the Eleventh flock came to be, going into the account of each of its members: The Shepherd Ezra, the detective Silas, the lamb Herodias, the conduit Elijah, and the arcanist Alister. The chronicler focuses on Shepherd Ezra’s history, how he came to form the flock, how he met each member, his strained relationship with the church, and his mentor Cardinal Busoni. As his eager divulgence comes to an end, the chronicler promises to tell the rebel more about the Case of The Immortal Woman, which set the Eleventh flock down a path that would change the fate of the Church and the course the world would take.
