Episode 5 - Rio Blues - Part 2

As FitzRoy sails the Beagle to Bahia, he starts to buckle under the pressure of being captain when some of his crew succumb to tropical disease and the memory of a departed colleague haunts him. Back on land, Darwin and Syms are given a guided tour of Rio and its surrounds by yet another priest with questionable morals, while Derbishire runs from the long arm of the admiralty’s accounts department. Episode 3 - Festive Water Buckets

After arriving at Bahia in Brazil, Captain FitzRoy reacquaints himself with an old college friend, who enrages Darwin by introducing them to a local slave owner. During their stay the crew unwittingly discover the dangers of the local carnival, get lost in a jungle, and conduct a very flawed survey.
