Hello! If you are on this website that means you do not know where we have officially moved to. CTD Productions and Adventure Alley Productions have now officially joined together to become Audio Adventure Theatre.
You can still listen and download productions on this website, but we recommend that you visit https://audioadventuretheatre.blogspot.com/ from now on. Thank you for stopping by!
This is an audio dramatization of a traditional folktale. Three trees
stand on top of a mountain, dreaming of their future. However, when
three woodcutters climb up to chop them down, they find that purpose is
often not what it may appear. Listen to this powerful, yet simple story
from Audio Adventure Theatre.
Are you shining your light as a

REAR WINDOW, PART ONE Starring Caleb Thiessen & William Helms
This
is a series of impromptu performances that Dillon Wiltshire did a few years
ago. I thought it would be an interesting
idea to put them together as if someone was listening to different station on a
radio. And this was the result. Enjoy!
Rob wakes up early on Christmas
morning with thoughts of the past on his mind. He remembers one Christmas in
particular, when he gave his father a very special gift - a gift of pure love.
Based on a short story by Pearl S.
Buck (author of "The Good Earth").
CHRISTMAS DAY IN THE MORNING Starring Jesse Medrano & Aaron Thiessen
Our Christian life is often likened
to a battle, and the Bible is referred to as the Sword of the Spirit; but
swords are not used much in modern warfare. So, could we not compare it in this
context to a soldier’s rifle?
Written by Dillon Wiltshire.
Featuring Jacob Banks, Caleb
Thiessen, Donovan Reynoso, Bradley Van Lue,
Jake Tackett, Ryan Holmes, Hector Linares, and Tyler Morelli.
Homework,
the dread of every child's existence. Who can endure the torture? Especially
when your father forces you to finish everything before you can have some ice
cream.
In this script written by Dillon Wiltshire, two men are pinned down under enemy fire behind a barricade. Colonel Common Sense is desperately trying to lead Private Pragmatism in the defense of their position. Their enemy is not very far away…
This is a simple short sketch
surrounding a pirate ship and a stowaway. It was made to go along with an
assignment for a college class; so, it definitely doesn't have the length or
purpose that is usual for our productions. None the less, it was fun to make and
hopefully it'll give you a laugh or two!
Gregg the
Greggory-Gregg-Gregg-Gregg has no idea what he's in for when he answered that
one phone call. But not just any phone
call! A phone call from Marian from the
Gross Grocer's Banana store! Bananas
like you've never heard them before in this insane, for lack of a better term,
drama.
THE GREGG STORY Starring Renae Thiessen & Aaron Thiessen
A lonely man stands on a bridge
overlooking a river. He is disappointed with life and thinking of ending it
all. But then a short little man enters
into the scene and will change his life forever. Discover the greatest gift
that all men possess in this classic story.
THE GREATEST GIFT Starring Caleb Thiessen & Michael Herrera
Well, it's been a while since CTD has put out a monthly 'news letter' or anything of the kind. And we thought we would just like to update you all a little bit on what has been happening behind the scenes of CTD along with maybe some future plans.
The last update to the news was in October, 2011. Since then, CTD has release three new dramas, not including bloopers.
First, there was the Christmas special 2011, Christmas Out Of Focus. This story was actually completely written by CTD's director, Caleb Thiessen (Or Jacob, for all you old fans.), and while we don't feel it was our best production ever, we definitely did some experimenting with new background sounds and such in this one. And of course, it was just lots of fun to put it together as is the case with all our productions.
Then, we had a little break in which months passed by without any productions or updates. During this time the folks behind the scenes of CTD were a little busy with things, and it takes a lot of intentional effort to put together a drama, in case you didn't know that.
Finally, in August, over a whirl-wind of a weekend, Caleb wrote, recorded, edited, and produced "What Is A Princox?". Which, for a little background info, was sort of a little farewell production for him before he headed off to college this Fall.
Meanwhile, as all this was going on, a certain other production was in the works by a certain sister of this certain head director of CTD Productions. And after a lot of hard work (and a little procrastination) she put out her debut production in October.
As you may see in the side-bar under 'Contributers', it does happen to list second author on this blog now- Renae. She is the aforementioned sister, and now the able assistant with productions. Helping out editing, directing, site-maintenance, and hopefully releasing her own little productions now and then. All this really, is simply because of the fact that with Caleb in college, he just can't devote much time to productions anymore.
As far as CTD's future plans? Well, you should be able to expect a Christmas special coming out this December, as always. This one is pretty hush-hush though. But we think you'll like it... ;)
After that, honestly, we have nothing definite. There's ideas sprouting and thoughts being tossed about. You will be hearing some new actors in the future, I can tell you that. And perhaps a couple original dramas coming out eventually. We are always plotting new ideas, so really, who knows?
Basically-we are very much alive and very much interested in putting out new stuff.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for listening also! It's awesome to know people come to the site, and download our stuff. Of course, we wouldn't mind a few comments either! *hint hint*
Till next time- Au revoir, good bye!
Renae Thiessen, Assistant-Producer of CTD Productions
The 'girl in black and yellow' took shelter from the rain in an old pavilion at the end of the shore road, her busy tongue and candid personality soon had her making a very 'unconventional' confidence with an unknown stranger- ending in very surprising results.
A short story written by Lucy Maud Montgomery and adapted for audio by Renae Thiessen. CTD Productions is thrilled and ecstatic to present to you...
Brad and Jenny are getting married,
and their siblings attempt to perform Shakespeare for them; but will the couple
ever get to appreciate the play or not?
Merry Christmas, one and all! CTD Productions is now proud to present our 5th annual Christmas special: "Christmas Out-of-Focus".
Do you ever get caught up in things around the Christmas season and forget about what's important? Then you aren't alone. In our seasonal tale, Joe Cutchins is caught in exactly that predicament. Join him and his family as they ("eventually") remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Joe Cutchins has brought home something... interesting. At least, he thinks so. Whether or not his family will agree is what you will discover in this short seasonal audio drama.
A PIECE OF HISTORY Starring Caleb Thiessen & Renae Thiessen
As of today, CTD Productions is now on iTunes! This means that people will be able to search in the iTunes store and be able to find our audio dramas. So if you have iTunes on your computer or iPhone-iPod-iPad you should be able to subscribe to our "podcast" and get each new episode as its released. Not all of our current audio dramas are on there yet, but they should be within a day or so.
Or you can visit our iTunes RSS Feed and download the audio dramas through your internet browser by CLICKING HERE. And all of our currently released productions are available at the RSS Feed as opposed to the iTunes page at the moment.
Also, if you download our productions from the iTunes store (or RSS) certain productions are longer than they are if you download directly from our blog. For example, "Winnie-the-Pooh" has about 20 minutes of deleted material that is available only on iTunes. So check it out!
And as far as when new audio dramas are going to be released, you can check out our "Monthly News" page (which has finally updated) or our "Coming Soon" page (formerly "Upcoming Shows"). But our goal is to have at least four new audio dramas released before the end of the year. One of which is our annual Christmas special, which this year is called: "CHRISTMAS OUT-OF-FOCUS". It will be released Dec. 17th.
Well, after all this time, here it is: the last episode of Winnie-the-Pooh! And out of all the audio dramas I've ever worked on this one was definitely the most fun. All the actors who played the main characters were just great for their parts, and it was so fun to direct them as they acted. Also, in terms of sound design this production is right up there at the very top out of all the the productions I've produced. So this one is definitely my favorite!
In this final episode, Piglet finds himself surrounded my water, and makes a brave attempt to get help; also, we later attend a party for Pooh Bear ... or was it Eeyore? ... I forget.
WINNIE-THE-POOH #4: WE SAY GOOD-BYE Starring Philip Thiessen
In the third episode of Quick & Flupke, Quick causes all kinds of trouble when he learns to use a lasso, Flupke gets bullied by a bigger boy, and Quick volunteers to watch someone's car for a minute with disastrous results! All this and much, much more in this week's episode of Quick & Flupke!
P.S. Don't try any of these things at home!
QUICK & FLUPKE #3: PRANKS AND JOKES Starring Aaron Thiessen and Levi Coates
CTD Productions is now proud to present to you the third episode of "Winnie-the-Pooh" adapted from the original book by A. A. Milne. In this episode we meet Kanga and Roo for the first time, but Rabbit, Piglet and Pooh aren't too sure about them. Later, Christopher Robin organizes an "Expotition" to find the North Pole, with hilarious results.
WINNIE-THE-POOH #3: SMALLISH ADVENTURES Starring Philip Thiessen
Well, after nearly three years CTD Productions finally presents to you another episode featuring that rascally duo, Quick & Flupke. In this episode Quick thinks there's a gas leak in his house, Officer 15 goes sledding, Flupke eats a pear, and well, too many things for me to talk about. Just listen to the episode and you shall find out all. Also, in this episode be on the lookout for a character from a different audio drama who makes a cameo appearance.
Here is our first production of 2011! It is called "The Amiable Mr. Mops" and is based on a comic strip series by Hergé (author of Tintin and Quick & Flupke). In this story we follow a eccentric man as he bumbles his way through an ordinary day. He continually causes trouble for others and himself, but will he say "die"? Never!
