Mon, 13 Oct 2025 11:00:00 -0500
Friend group hottie and med school dropout Brian (Brian Park) decides to try therapy for the first time to vent about his mom and cousin's (Meewha Alana Lee, Jason Choi) impossible expectations. But when his sexy therapist (Sea Shimooka) gives tantalizing advice, Brian dives down a rabbit hole of irresponsibility. (With SJ Son)
Brian, like the majority of Asian Americans, has been resistant to exploring mental health services. But when he finds himself suffering at the expectations of his overbearing mother Yoojin and his uber-wealthy plastic surgeon cousin Sean, Brian decides to make the jump and sit down with Dr. Valencia.
Highly recommended by friends and ZocDoc, Dr. Valencia is a patient, understanding and insightful psychoanalyst. She offers Brian, who has over-regulated his life based on his Korean family's impossibly high expectations, an opportunity to break out of his shell with one simple tip: Be reckless.
Brian, invigorated by Dr. Valencia's seductive advice, obligingly reorganizes his tidy life into a tornado of chaos and adopts sexual liberation, rampant gambling, and erratic fashion styling, ensuring that when Brian's breakthrough comes, his world will never be the same.
