Synopsis:

“Former paramedic and struggling alcoholic Jacob Sankofa is no stranger to trauma, but when he agrees to help his friend care for a father stricken by a mysterious illness, he hopes it will be a simpler task than his last job. That hope shatters when Jacob discovers the disease isn’t just unknown... it’s contagious.

Faced with the threat of a horrific death for himself, his friend, and the dying old man, Jacob is driven by his friend to seek help from Amahdalia, an elusive private practitioner who appears to be an expert on exactly what he’s suffering from. But as he delves deeper into who she really is and the questions begin to pile up, Jacob is gradually drawn into a rabbit hole of otherworldly creatures, ghosts, psychics and secret organisations.

And it quickly becomes apparent that Amahdalia might be even more of a dangerous enigma than the disease he needs her help to survive.“
