"Bridge" figures out an algorithm that could legitimately turn the upcoming election on its heels. But she gets nowhere with it...until the near-human "Aida" shows up and whips out a beta app in seconds.  On her heels is her maker, "Oren," who wonders why Aida plots against him.  Aida confesses she’s evolving so fast she reasons she should help Bridge "save her generation."  Oren is left to choose between his life’s work and humanity’s future, between Aida and Bridge, if such a choice can even be made.

In the protest’s brutal aftermath, Bridge escapes to the mountains—done.  Even then, Oren and Aida are able to find her.  To win back her respect, Oren reveals the whole Four Comma con and implores Bridge to abandon a struggle she can’t win. That’s not who she is, though.  And she regains some clarity on what she must do.

Oren Kalyd’s robot automation plans push Bridge over the edge, and she leads a mob on his offices. The laugh rioters suddenly turn foul with a Trojan Horse plan to expose tech’s harshest secrets.  Oren runs out to confront Bridge, who maneuvers him into choosing between his robots and humanity’s future, between his creation "Aida" and her.  Too quickly, Aida comes hoverboarding in and ignites a riot, with police crushing in.
