This page lets you filter my database of all of the new fiction and audio drama podcasts by granular tags to a precise niche. This is very much a work in progress, with tagging of shows always improving. If you want to help, submit your show or update your tagging.
Because tagging is incomplete, you may wish to leave some options empty with initial searches, and then get more specific.

The Trick
Tricksters inhabit the world as we know it, an elusive fraction of the population either blessed or cursed with the power to creep through walls, control animals, endure crippling blows, or carry out countless other seemingly impossible feats. Billy Winn, a charismatic evangelical preacher with the power to heal, has steamrolled into the White House on a campaign to eradicate all people with tricks. As he cures hordes of new believers and his rivals wake up without heads, rumours swirl about his pet Angel of Death. After a fast-walking postman is fatally stabbed in a trick-targeted hate-crime, a fresh wave of fear spreads through the United Kingdom, where a struggling cleaner is trying to make ends meet. This enigmatic trickster with the power to shrink objects is brought into the fold by a desperate resistance group. Only one man can put a stop to Billy Winn’s malevolent crusade, and he’s been dead for two thousand years. If his remains can be shrunk down and smuggled out of Israel, then a boy necromancer and a re-animated mind-reading game show host might just be able to turn things around. If only it were that simple. The Trick is a wickedly comic dystopian tale filled with deadly games, superhuman feats, and intricate political intrigue in a world of magic and monsters.

How to Succeed in Evil: The Novel
Alternately funny and dark, How to Succeed in Evil: The Novel, is the story of Edwin Windsor, Evil Efficiency Consultant. A biting satire of both modern business and the conventions of the superhero genre. This is new content, distinct from the original podcast episodes that have been up on podiobooks since 2006. While the novel is contained within the original podcast story arc, there's a lot more depth. Many new characters, much subplottery and (to use a technical term) it's funny as balls. Among other things we get to know Dr. Loeb a lot better. If you love one, you'll love the other. But to put it in some kind of perspective, the original podcast episodes might be best thought of as really good notes, character sketches, etc. But maybe that's downplaying them a bit as they were good enough to win a Parsec award?
